UBA Staff, Customers Trapped,  As Fire Guts Building In Lagos

Many customers and staff of the United Bank for Africa, UBA, are currently trapped in the Afriland Building on Lagos Island as the building is currently being gutted by fire.
As of  the time of writing this report, the cause of the fire incident has yet to be identified, as first responders are being moved in to put off the fire.
Apart from  UBA, the building also houses the Federal Inland Revenue Service, FIRS and other business offices.
In a viral video on social media, the magazine observed that the occupants of the high rise buildings were trying to  jump out through the windows to safety, as many of them sustained serious injuries in their desperate efforts to escape being trapped in the building.
Sources from the Lagos State Emergency Services and the Federal Fire Service, informed the magazine that officials have been mobilized to the s ene of the incident to put out the fire, and rescue those currently trapped.
Investigations are also ongoing to ascertain the cause of the fire, according to one of the sources who spoke, who said security agencies including the policemen have been mobilized to the area to maintain order.
