Tribunal Upholds Ganduje’s Election

The Governorship election tribunal sitting in Kano has upheld the election of governor Umar Ganduje of the All Progressives Congress, APC,  as the duly elected governor of the state. The judgement was delivered by Justice Halima Shamaki, who threw away the petition of the peoples democratic Party, PDP.

Recall that the election of Ganduje was mired in controversy after a rerun election was ordered in some local governments in the state after the PDP candidate was said to be leading. Ganduje was later declared winner after the rerun.

This followed the Osun template, and there were allegations that the magic was brought about using the template of Osun election by the All Progressives Congress.
