In a space of a week, Nigerian Movie Industry popularly known as Nollywood has lost three from its best actors and players.
First it was Rich Oganiru, followed by Stanley Okoro, now it is Kunle Agboola, Nollywood Actor and Producer, a Record Label Executive and Presenter of a Yoruba Nollywood Programme, titled “Idan Irawo”.
Agboola was said to have died of Kidney Disease, after a long battle with the ailment before succumbing to it at the Intensive Care Unit of the NYU Langone Hospital, Brooklyn, New York, United States of America.
The late Agboola’s Nollywood-themed show ran for several years on DSTV.
The family of the media guru through his brother, Lanre Agboola, broke the news of the death of the producer in a statement.
The thoroughbred session-man who produced and mastered notable musical artistes such as Daddy Showkey, Tope Alabi, Sunny Neji, Azeezat via his record label, HITMAN and (his wife) Tee Campbell’s soon-to-be released album under KAMP RECORDS.
The deceased was the Sound Engineer and Media Officer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), ICB Parish in Brooklyn.
He is survived by aged parents, wife, children and siblings.
Lanre disclosed that announcement of the burial arrangements will be made soonest.
