Former Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service, FIRS Babatunde Fowler has been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
Fowler a close associate of APC National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu was fired last year by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Sources in the commission told the magazine that he was arrested in connection with a petition filed against the APC leader and Alpha Beta Consulting by a former managing director of the company, Oladapo Apara, who has accused the politician of fraud.
Tinubu was also accused of diverting funds belonging to the firm to companies owned by him.
The spokesperson of the anti graft, Wilson Uwujaren, confirmed Fowler’s arrest.
