Senator Adams Oshiomhole has asserted that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s government has given Nigerians hope. Under Tinubu’s administration, the senator representing Edo-North, stated things that were once thought impossible have become possible.
The senator who was reacting to the recent ministerial appointment by the president told the News Agency of Nigeria, NAN that the administration has shattered the ceilings in the actions it has taken so far.
For instance, the former governor of Edo state stated that Tinubu has shocked many by appointing Nyesom Wike and Abubakar Momoh ministers of FCT and Niger Delta Development, respectively.
This has never happened, the former Edo helmsman said, adding that any Nigerian can be appointed into position regardless of religion, creed, or tribe in Tinubu’s government.
“For me, one of the ground-breaking decisions President Tinubu has taken is to give every part of Nigeria hope that regardless of your birthplace, tongue or dialect, you can be the minister of the FCT,” Oshiomhole said.
“Many people didn’t think it was possible. We give thanks to God for giving us such a president that opens his doors to anyone who wishes to see him and who has information to share.
“We give thanks to God for having a president who has listening ears for whoever has something to tell him.
“One tree cannot make a forest; the quality of ministers and the leadership they provide in their respective ministries are what translate to whether the government performs or not.
“May this government be credited as the one that fixed what others could not fix.
“This will not be a government of lamentation, but one that will do what others failed to do.”
The appointment of Wike, a former governor of Rivers state as substantive FCT Minister has come as a rude shock to not a few Nigerians, considering that former occupiers of the office were picked from a section of the country.
