Senator Anyanwu Heads Uzodinma’s Inauguration Committee

Renowned Broadcaster, Senator Chris Anyanwu, has been appointed Chairman of the Inauguration Committee for Governor Hope Uzodinma’s second term in office.

The Governor made the announcement in his New Year broadcast to the people of the State.

Anyanwu, an Mbaise daughter, was of the National Television Authority, NTA, from where he was appointed the Commissioner for Information under the Military Administration of the now late Amadi Ikwechegh. Thereafter, he founded the now defunct weekly newsmagazine, The Sunday Magazine, TSM.

She joined politics and was elected the Senator for Imo East, (Owerri Zone) in 2007, under the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

In 2011, he was reelected a Senator under the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA.

Currently, she is the founder and proprietor of the Owerri-based Hot FM Radio Station.

Governor Uzodimma won a re-election for a second term in office on November 11, 2023 in a landslide, defeating his opponents in all the 27 Local Government Areas of the State.

He will be sworn-in for his second term on January 15, 2024.
