Adeyeye’s loss is the gain of Senator Biodun Olujimi, PDP.
INEC had declared Adeyeye the winner of the November 23 Senate election. But Olujimi had cried foul. Alleging electoral fraud, she went to the NASS Election Tribunal.
The tribunal found. merit in her case, and declared her the winner. But Adeyeye protested, and appealed.
On Wednesday, the Appeal Court upheld the ruling of the lower Court, and sacked Adeyeye.
Olujimi, a former Deputy Governor of Ekiti state, is returning to the Senate for a second term.
