Less than 24-hours after the sack of the Musiliu Akinsanya-led Lagos State Chapter of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW, Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo Olu of Lagos State has appointed Akinsanya popularly known as MC Oluomo as the Chairman, Lagos State Parks Management Committee.
Also appointed to the Committee is the former Assistant Inspector General of Police, Hakeem Odumosu. He is now the Liaison Officer between the Government and the committee.
The appointment of MC Oluomo was contained in a statement issued by the Lagos State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, titled, “Lagos govt sets up Parks Management Committee”.
It would be recalled that the Lagos State Government had earlier denied appointing MC Oluomo in any capacity days after his suspension by the Tajudeen Baruwa led National Body of the NURTW for insurbodination and disrespect for constituted authorities.
But the speculation and denial have been laid to rest following the official announcement by the LASG.
