Governor Babajide Sanwo-olu of Lagos State has put smiles on the faces of Corps Members on the day of their departure from the Orientation Camp in Iyana Ipaja, Lagos. The Governor gifted each Corps Member N100,000.
The Corps Members had been camped at the National Youth Service Corps. NYSC, Orientation Camp for two weeks, and were departing for their respective Places of Primary Assignment, PPA, when the Lagos State Governor reeled out the largesse to be enjoyed by the Corpers.
Governor Sanwo-Olu, also, announced a N5 Billion pledge towards the construction of a permanent site for the National Youth Service Corps Orientation Camp in the State.
He added that there will be an Automatic Employment into the Lagos Public Service for the best 100 Corpers after service year (for this batch), and a 32 Seater Hyundai Bus, already delivered for them. He addressed them wearing the NYSC uniform.
Sanwo-Olu made the pledge during his address as the Special Guest of Honour at the NYSC Passing-Out Parade/Closing Ceremony for the 2024 Batch ‘B’ Stream 1 Corps Members, held at the NYSC Orientation Camp in Iyana-Ipaja on Tuesday July 16.
