The Federal Government of Nigeria has re-emphasized its  stand on same s€x marriage, which is now a norm in some countries and Christendom.

According to the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Lateef Fagbemi, under the leadership of President Bola Tinubu, there is nothing like same s€x marriage.

Fagbemi made the position of the Government known while speaking at the 45th Universal Periodic Review in Geneva.

He explained that same-s€x marriage is inconsistent with the country’s domestic laws, adding that Nigerian laws are  reflection of the sentiment of the  people.

The declaration is in tangent with a Bill prohibiting same-sex marriage in Nigeria, which was signed into law during the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan.
