“I wish I had the power to halt death” – Ibori mourns

A former Deputy Governor of Delta State, Amos Utuama is dead. He died on Saturday November 2, according to sources close to his family.

Utuama, a Professor of Law and a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, SAN, was Delta State’s Deputy Governor between 2007-2015, under the Governorship of Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan. Before then, he was Delta State’s Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice under the James Ibori Government.

Mourning the Passing of the Professor, Ibori described him as his loyal and humble Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice.

He lamented the finality of death, and said: “If it were in my power to halt death, I would have done so for you.”

Born on June 5, 1947, Professor Utuama died at the age of 77 years.
