The family of the late Prince Emeka Obasi has released the programme for his funeral rites.
Obasi, Publisher of Business Hallmark and a former Commissioner for Information in Abia State, under the Government of Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, died on Tuesday, March 15, 2022. He was, also, the Founder of Public Policy Research And Analysis Centre, organizers of the Zik Prize in Leadership Awards.
A statement, on behalf of the family, signed by his first son, Prince Emeka Obasi, jnr, says he will be committed to mother-earth at his country home, Umuaroko, Ndume Ibeku, Umuahia North, on Thursday, April 14, 2022.
The funeral rites will begin in Lagos, where he lived most of his adult life, and did his businesses on Friday, April 8, 2022, with a Service of Songs at the Trinity House, Trinity Avenue, Victoria Island.
That will be followed by another Service of Songs at his country home, Umuaroko, Ndume Ibeku, Umuahia North, on April 13, 2022.
An Interdenominational Funeral Service will hold on Thursday, April 14, 2022, at the Community Primary School, Ahiaeke, Ndume Ibeku, followed immediately after by interment at his country home.
Obasi, 58, was married to his lovely and loyal Dr Betty Obasi.
