He lost it to the incumbent Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo,  in the election held on Saturday, November 8, 2025.

Moghalu voted by 11.40 am at his Uruagu Ward 1 in Nnewi North Local Government Area where he, also, complained about vote-buying after voting.

Ebere Okonkwo, the Presiding Officer at the Polling Unit, announced the results at about 2.50pm at the end of voting.

George Moghalu received 22 votes, the Candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Nicholas Ukachukwu, received only five votes, while Soludo who won the Polling Unit scored 57 votes.

Drama At Anambra Decides: “Stop, Where Are  Result Sheets?

Anambra Governorship Election

By Charles Igbo

A drama ensued at a Polling Station in Ihiala, Anambra State, in the heat of the Governorship Election, when a concerned citizen stormed the venue and took officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission to ask.

The yet to be identified citizen, obviously, on a tip off, stormed Polling Unit 013, Amamu, Ward A, Ihiala, and asked the INEC officials to “stop”.

Everybody looked on, including the Voters who were on queue under the sun.

Then, he asked the official in charge of the Polling Unit: “Where are the result sheets?” The Lady who identified herself as the AGO said there were no result sheets. And he asked where the sheets were? She said she was given none. And the man hit the roof and confronted her: So, you are here and people are voting while tye results are being written somewhere else.

The helpless lady said that she asked for the result sheets when she noticed she was given none, and was told by the SPO that he would bring them but had not.

The man then turned to the voters who who had become restless and addressed them. “You are wasting time here. You are standing under the sun, voting, while they are in somebody’s house writing the results.” He also disclosed that the same thing – no result sheets – played out the Juniorate Ihiala Polling Station.

Hereunder is what transpired at the Polling Station.

Man on arrival: “Who is in charge here? Wait, I want to climb up.” HE climbed up.

Man: “Stop everything here now. Stop! Stop!!

Do you have your result?

INEC Official (a lady): No.

Man: Why? So, they are writing the results somewhere, and you are here voting? That is not proper. Why are the result sheets not here? What is the polling unit here?

INEC Official: “013”

Man:  “People are voting and the result sheets are somewhere else and they are computing the result sheets.

“This is Ihiala, Amamu, Ward A. In Juniorate, the same thing is happening.”

Pointing at the Lady, he said: “She is in charge.  She is the AGO. This criminality must stop. Yes, No result sheets and people are voting. The result sheets are somewhere and people are standing here under the sun, voting.”

Addressing the Voters, he said:

“This exercise now is nonsense. They are in somebody’s house writing result.”

INEC Official “This is not my first time of doing this job. Usually everything is packed for us in the bag. When I didn’t see the result sheets, I asked the SPO, he said that we should go, that  he will bring it. He has not brought it till now.”

When she was asked the name of the SPO, she said she didn’t know.

There were also allegations of vote buying. There are 16 candidates, including the incumbent, Governor Chukwuma Soludo, vying for votes from 2.8 million voters.

The Trump Mandate: 10 Things President Tinubu Must Do Quickly

Steve Osuji
Author: Steve Osuji

By Steve Osuji

Point Of No Return? Fire on the mountain! Nigeria totters at the precipice right now. That’s where the ruling party, APC and its successive inept presidents, Muhammadu Buhari and Bola Tinubu have led Nigeria to. Remarkably, they represent the worst presidents and the puniest presidencies in Nigeria, ever.

This explains why today, Nigeria is on the verge of getting disembodied if drastic actions are not taken quickly.

Russia is acting up from the sahel and could jolly well breach the northwest of Nigeria by stealth (Katsina State is being surrendered to bandits).

China is deep in the northeast, surreptitiously carting away precious minerals and with a game plan to hold down her portion of the booty if push comes to shove.

WHERE’S THE PRESIDENT AND SOVEREIGN: Well, our man in Aso Rock wanted to be president by hook or crook (you all know the story!).

But to grab a leadership position is one, to lead is another. Tinubu, like his predecessor Buhari, have introduced a new form of leadership which EXPRESSO would like to describe as DO-NOTHINGNESS: it’s like a man who gets on top of a woman and immediately begins to snore as if he’s on  an orthopedic mattress.

Simply put, Tinubu, like Buhari before him, lacks the capacity to preside over a country. That’s the long and short of the story.

For instance, EXPRESSO avers that Tinubu has done only two major things in two and half years in office:  One, he has massively fortified his private estate and two, he is plotting for re-election.

That is why he doesn’t know that many states in the north have fallen to bandits who are probably enabled by Bukina Faso which is in turn enabled by Russia.

It explains why many public officials are sharing with China, the spoils of rogue mining operations going on across the north. And he pretends not to be aware!

IF NIGERIA IMPLODES: Could it be that our president and his government aren’t seeing the big picture? Or, since they are benefitting immensely from the chaos, they don’t care about the imminent consequences? Perhaps, they can’t help the situation?

But brash and swashbuckling President of the United States of America (POTUS), Donald Trump, somehow, sees all the shenanigans going on in Nigeria.

He knows that a few more years of Tinubu may damage Nigeria irretrievably.

He sees China and Russia turning Nigeria, the jewel of Africa into their playground.

Recall that Nigeria is within the sphere of influence of NATO.

Recall that Nigeria is a ‘democracy’ of the Presidential kind for that matter.

Recall again, that both China and Russia are already branded CPCs (Countries of Particular Concern) by America.

A CPC by America’s standard, means a country where violation of human rights is systemic and severe. It’s such a country where torture, prolonged detention without charges, forced disappearances, denial of life and security of citizens, among other vices, are rife.

China and Russia fit squarely into these descriptions of a typical CPC.

Some have queried why Trump is acting post haste in the Nigerian situation if over 20 countries are on the CPC list? The answer is that Nigeria’s situation is immediate and urgent.

There’s indeed a clear and present danger!  What looks like a precipitous human tragedy that needs to be averted.

Implosion of a country of over 200 million people would surely create a crisis the size of Armageddon.

The human tragedy may be such that history has never witnessed.

This is why the majority of Nigerians support Trump’s action and the designation of Nigeria as a CPC state.

Consider that more than 50 Nigerians have been slaughtered in less than one week even after the CPC designation was announced.

WHAT DOES TRUMP WANT: Yes, let no one be fooled that President Trump or America loves Nigeria and her hapless Christians so much they would throw their dollars and men after their survival. Never. No free lunch anywhere. Not the least, American.

So let’s conjecture that the US seeks to ward off Russia and China from what’s supposedly her turf, why not. If that would help rid Nigeria of the scourge of terror which has plagued her for nigh two decades; and which she might succumb to if she doesn’t get help.

TEN THINGS TINUBU MUST DO: Trump is no doubt the best of all options available to President Tinubu right now. Better to deal with Trump than Xi or Putin. He must reach out, consult, find lobbyists and indeed, do whatever is necessary to get Nigeria back on track.

And above all,  he must have a blueprint of his own.

Below are suggestions from EXPRESSO:

ONE: Sharia must be outlawed immediately. Nigeria is one country and must be under one constitution. To create separate bodies of laws is aberrant and dangerous.

TWO: Make laws to ban the almajiri system. Where else in the world do we have a system that only damages children and breeds the youth for terrorism?

THREE: Make a clear proclamation outlawing extra-judicial killings, especially trial by mob, arising from so-called ‘blasphemy.’

FOUR: Draw a one-year plan to close all IDPs and ensure that inmates are returned to their ancestral homestead.

FIVE: Restore all lands seized from non-indigenes in the last decade.

SIX: Outlaw cattle grazing in Nigeria giving a one-year moratorium.

SEVEN: Established model cattle ranches in the 36 States of Nigeria and Abuja and get the Livestock Ministry to work.

NINE: Open a six-month window for all terrorists, etc, to seek amnesty or be crushed.

TEN: Convoke a National Restoration Conference.

And also important is the need to  sanitise the military, security and intelligence community and eliminate rogue officers.

These are some of the broad- based and holistic actions President Tinubu must consider quickly if he must get Nigeria back on track again.

Gov Okpebholo Assures Museum Of West African Will Preserve Benin Heritage

0
Governor Monday Okpebholo

By Ayodele Oni

Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has declared that the controversy surrounding the Museum of West African Art (MOWAA), is over assuring that the project will be restored to its original and rightful purpose; a cultural edifice envisioned to honour the heritage of the Benin Kingdom.

The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Fred Itua, in a statement revealed that Okpebholo made the declaration when he received the Oba of Benin, Omo Oba Ewuare II, at the Government House in Benin City.

Governor Okpebholo described the visit as a defining moment of unity between the State Government and the Benin Monarchy, noting that the relationship between both institutions remains the foundation of Edo’s identity and pride.

“Your Majesty, I wanted to make a speech, but the video we just watched, where former Governor Godwin Obaseki promised to build the Benin Royal Museum as a gift to you, has already made it for me.

“The issue of the Museum of West African Art is over. It was a birthday gift to Your Majesty, and it will be restored as such.

“I am glad that the Attorney-General, our political leaders, and other stakeholders are here to witness this. I will take this video to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who has immense respect for culture and is a personal friend of the Palace. I am confident that Mr. President will not support any act that undermines the dignity of the Benin Kingdom.”

Governor Okpebholo reaffirmed his administration’s readiness to work with the Benin Palace, the Federal Government, and international partners to ensure the return of all looted Benin artifacts to their rightful home.

He pledged to facilitate the establishment of the Benin Royal Museum as a global centre for cultural preservation and historical education.

The Governor emphasized that the visit of the Oba symbolized the strength of collaboration between traditional and political institutions, reiterating his administration’s commitment to mutual respect, peace, and the protection of Edo’s ancestral values.

“As we approach our first anniversary in office on November 12, we do so with gratitude for Your Majesty’s guidance and blessings.

“This administration remains devoted to securing our communities, empowering our youth, and preserving our cultural heritage. Edo’s strength lies in her traditions and we will uphold them.”

In his response, Oba Ewuare II, lauded Governor Okpebholo as “Akpakomiza” a divinely chosen leader whose emergence was destined to bring peace, prosperity, and honour to Edo State.

The Monarch recalled his thank-you tour of Esan land shortly after his coronation, during which, he said, the sun and moon appeared together in the sky; a celestial sign that greatness would one day arise from Esan land.

“I prayed for a governor who would put food on the table of the people, develop the state, and respect traditional institutions. That prayer has now been answered through Akpakomiza.”

The Monarch commended the governor for his impressive achievements in less than a year in office, including the restoration of the Benin Traditional Council’s full statutory allocation, the return of the Oba Akenzua Cultural Centre, and notable improvements in infrastructure, security, and land administration.

On the MOWAA controversy, Oba Ewuare II clarified that the structure was originally conceived as the Benin Royal Museum; a vision supported by foreign donors and intended to house the repatriated artifacts looted during the 1897 British invasion of Benin.

“The project was meant to be the Benin Royal Museum. I fully support my people who protested against the attempted opening of MOWAA. The House of Assembly should continue its investigation into its funding and ownership. The world recognizes it as the Benin Royal Museum, and it must remain so.”

The monarch further urged Governor Okpebholo to revisit his proposed agricultural industrial hubs across Edo State to boost food production, create jobs, and strengthen local economies.

He also called on President Tinubu to fulfil his promise of supporting the Benin Royal Museum project.

By Akinwale Kasali

Nicholas Ukachukwu, the All Progressives Congress, APC, Candidate in the Anambra Governorship Election has accused the ruling All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, of engaging in large-scale vote buying during the ongoing Governorship election in the State.

The APC Governorship Candidate cast his vote at 11:46 a.m. at Umudimala 1, Polling Unit 011, Osumenyi Ward 2, Nnewi South Local Government Area, where he alleged APGA’s engagement in vote buying across the State.

Ukachukwu  stated that contrary to reports that APC agents were also involved in vote buying, it was APGA’s agents that were involved in the irregular electoral practice.

Ukachukwu is however optimistic that despite the alleged vote buying by APGA agents, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, will make sure that the election remains free and fair.

He, also, commended the electoral body for conducting what he described as a credible process so far.

“Yes, I’m confident in INEC. They are doing a good job,” Ukachukwu said.

Flanked by his wife, he voiced optimism that he would emerge victorious in the election, insisting that the people of Anambra are ready for change.

According to him, “The strong voter turnout was a clear message that citizens are dissatisfied with the current administration, which he claimed has failed to deliver on its promises”, he stated.

Anambra Governorship Election 2025

By Ayodele Oni

The Governorship election in Anambra State commenced at exactly 8:30 a.m. on Saturday in all parts of the state. But low turn-out voters and malfunctioning of the BVA machines marred.

In some areas, market women, men and shop owners ignored the exercise and carried on with their daily businesses. They were forced to close shop by threats of a fine of N10,000 each by market leaders if fail to close shop.

Officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) began accreditation simultaneously at the polling units with only a handful of voters present.

While the exercise took place under the mango trees, some young men were seen playing football on the school field, seemingly indifferent to the ongoing election.

The 2025 gubernatorial elections at Polling Unit 001, Fegge, in Onitsha, Anambra State, are not going as expected.

Report indicated  that the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) machine was not working.

As of 9:55 am, no accreditation had started, and no voting had been recorded due to a fault in the machine. Voters are waiting for the BVAS to be replaced.”

This is as voting has already commenced in several other centres across the state.

According to INEC, 2,802,790 registered voters are expected to vote across 5,718 polling units in the state’s 21 local government areas.

The election will be held across three senatorial districts, with sixteen candidates contesting.

Prominent contenders include incumbent Governor Chukwuma Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Nicholas Ukachukwu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Paul Chukwuma of the Young Progressives Party (YPP), George Moghalu of the Labour Party (LP), and Jude Ezenwafor of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Ondo: Suspended Owo LG Chairman Banished From Community

Tope Omolayo - Owo LG Chairman

By Ayodele Oni

More troubles seems to have befallen the suspended Chairman of Owo Local Government in Ondo State, Tope Omolayo, as the Owo community has declared him a persona non grata.

The Olowo In Council, the highest decision making body for Oba Ajibade Ogunoye banished the estranged Chairman from coming to Owo.

Omolayo has been accused of gross misconduct following a viral phone outburst against Oba Ogunoye in which he accused the Monarch of demanding  monthly gratification of N10million from him.

Omolayo who had tendered an unreserved public apology, during a press conference held in Akure, had earlier been suspended by the Owo Local Government Legislative Council for alleged gross misconduct and disrespect to the traditional institution.

At a Press Briefing held at the Olowo’s Palace, the Olowo-in-Council insisted his continued presence as Chairman of the Owo Local Government Area Council is no longer acceptable to the people and traditional leadership of Owo.

The Olowo-in-Council calls on the Ondo State Government and relevant authorities to take due cognizance of this development and take appropriate administrative steps in the interest of peace and mutual respect.

Ogwadogbon of Owo,  Ademola Obanonyen, who briefed the press, said “We, the Olowo-in-Council, welcome you to this urgent Press briefing convened in the wake of a deeply regrettable and unprovoked affront to the revered stool of the Olowo of Owo Kingdom, His Imperial Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye III, the Olowo of Owo and Paramount Ruler of Owo Land who doubles as the Chairman of Ondo State Council of Obas.

“Members of the Council as a body of critical stakeholders consider the sacrilegious attitude of the (embattled) Chairman as an act that should be treated with condemnation and negative sanctions that are rightly deserved, irrespective of his relationship with the Royal Family.

“This may have constrained His Majesty in taking immediate, extensive and appropriate actions, particularly traditional sanctions on the matter. All in all, we are duty bound to rise above sentiments, no matter who is involved, so as to avoid creating unpleasant precedence.

“We should also let you aware that all the Chairmen of the LCDAs in this great kingdom had also condemned and disassociated themselves clearly from this shameful outburst of the suspended Chairman, describing the attitude as unfortunate and regrettable of which he did not and will never enjoy their support.

“Our Position: After a thorough and sober deliberation, the Olowo-in- Council, speaking with one voice and acting in defense of the dignity of the Owo throne, hereby declares as follows:

“That the individual in question, by his reckless utterances and disrespectful conduct, has declared himself a persona-non-grata within the territory of Owo Kingdom.

“That his continued presence as Chairman of the Owo Local Government Area Council is no longer acceptable to the people and traditional leadership of Owo.

“That his actions have eroded the trust and confidence traditionally extended to holders of public office within the Owo community.

“That the Olowo-in-Council calls on the Ondo State Government and relevant authorities to take due cognizance of this development and take appropriate administrative steps in the interest of peace and mutual respect.

“We therefore urge all sons and daughters of Owo Kingdom, both at home and abroad, to remain calm, law-abiding, and avoid any form of confrontation or violence.

“Our strength lies in our unity, discipline, and the respect we accord our revered Institution as the dignity of our throne shall be preserved and not through chaos, but through the firmness of purpose and moral clarity.

“We take this opportunity to remind the public, particularly those in positions of authority, that traditional rulers are custodians of culture and maintainers of peace, not objects of ridicule.

“The Olowo of Owo Kingdom, like all other revered monarchs across Yorubaland, represents the spiritual and historical essence of our people. To insult the Olowo is to insult the entire Yoruba traditional system.

“We call on leaders at all levels be it political, religious, or social, to uphold mutual respect and to remember that no community can prosper where its values and heritage are trampled upon.”

Anambra Decides: Soludo, Others Clash Amid Security Concerns

Charles Soludo - Governor of Anambra State
Charles Soludo - Governor of Anambra State

Governor Charles Soludo of Anambra state will know his fate today as the people of the state go to the various polling boots in the 21 LGAs  to vote for the governorship candidate of their choice.

Apart from Soludo, a former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, who’s the candidate of the APGA in the election, other political parties including the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, All Progressives Congress, APC, Youth Peoples Party, YPP, Labour Party, LP are participating in the off-cycle election.

The other governorship candidates have vowed to unseat Prof Soludo who’s contesting for a second term in office, the incumbent, a Professor of Economics has promised a smooth ride in the election, citing his performance in office in the last four years as a major impetus.

The electoral umpire in the country, the Independent National electoral Commission, INEC and security agencies, including the Nigerian Police Force, NPF  have promised a free and fair election, by providing a peaceful atmosphere for voters to cast their votes.

According to informed analysts, the assurance  is necessary, considering the governorship gladiators contesting the election, who they say can hold their own, and have supporters spread across the state. Pockets of violence cannot be totally ruled out during the election, they contend, also citing logistic problems in distributing election materials, as some of the challenges that today governorship election is likely to encounter.

Few hours before the election,  the Deputy Inspector-General of Police in charge of Force Intelligence Department, FID, DIG Benjamin Okolo, read the riot act to criminal elements in the state who may want to truncate the election. They will be dealt with decisively, DIG Okoro said, adding that adequate security has been provided for the electorate to cast their votes without fear.

“Adequate security arrangement has been made in accordance with the IGP’s directive. Also, arrangements have been made to contain any issue that may arise during the exercise. Deployments have been made to respond swiftly to such incidents.

“We assure the people of Anambra that, through our interactions with stakeholders, the peace accord, and the readiness of our men on ground, every intention has been made to ensure that the election is peaceful, fair, and credible,” Okoro assured.

The magazine reports that a member of the House of Representatives, Victor Ogene, representing Ogbaru federal Constituency had earlier called for a peaceful atmosphere for the people to perform their civic rights by casting their ballots.

The lawmaker also urged Governor Soludo to ensure that the election is devoid of intimidation and inducements, urging the people of the state to vote according to their conscience.

He allayed the fear that communities who refused to support a particular candidate will be denied government support, saying it will be ‘illogical’ for any government to deny constituencies which refused to vote in its support, infrastructure projects.

Ogene: “It’s a misconception that those who don’t support a particular government will be denied development benefits. When infrastructure such as roads, boreholes, or schools are built, it’s illogical to think that only supporters of the administration will use them.

“In the case of Ogbaru, we have not been considered worthy of enjoying these acclaimed dividends of democracy, yet we are being blackmailed to think that, this time around, except we vote in a particular way, we would be further denied government patronage, an inalienable right of every citizen.

“I, therefore, urge every resident of Ogbaru, nay Anambra State, to go out on Saturday, November 8, 2025 to fulfill a sacred obligation imposed on them by the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria: vote for a candidate of their choice, without any fear of intimidation, coercion and or inducement.”

“The Ogbaru Federal Constituency, has long been neglected by the state government, with the sole connecting road in a deplorable state. Despite the area generating significant oil revenue, the lack of infrastructure has led to severe economic and social challenges, affecting farmers and businesses who struggle to transport goods to the market,” he said.

Even though the incumbent has vowed to win, citing the progress the state has recorded under him, as well as what other analysts suggest as “federal support” behind him, the election, they insist is still open for any of the candidates.

According to them, the election may not be as easy to win for the incumbent despite the endorsement from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who preferred not to support his party’s All progressives Congress, APC candidate in the election, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu citing his long friendship with Governor Soludo.

President Tinubu had in May this year, while commissioning projects executed by Governor Soludo described the former CBN Governor as a “friend and partner”, promising to support him.

Tinubu: “I salute the enterprise of the South east and her people, and your unwavering commitment to success, not just to the South east but to Nigeria as a whole.

“Soludo your son is my friend and still remains my friend. He is a brilliant man, he has the brain and he knows the way and we will work together. We will work together to bring prosperity back and put Anambra is on the rise.

“I have just commissioned several landmark projects today, this are bold statements and they point to his ability as a leader. I remember when he (Soludo) wanted to consolidate banks and many people said it was impossible, but he did it and today we are benefiting from that action.”

The president’s remark had ruffled feathers in his party, particularly in the camp of the APC candidate, Ukachukwu, who in spite of this assured his supporters that he will defeat the incumbent, so long the election is free and fair.

Alleged Genocide: Pastor Adeboye To Tinubu: Appeal To Trump For 100 Days Grace, Give Service Chiefs 90 Days To Perform Or Resign

0
Pastor Adeboye and Bola Tinubu

By Adesina Soyooye

Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has, finally, weighed in on the storm over alleged “Christian genocide” Nigeria. “Appeal to President Donald Trump for a 100-day grace, give your Service Chiefs 90 days to perform or resign”, he advised President Bola Tinubu.

The Cleric urged urgent action  from  President Bola Tinubu accompanied by firm decisions.

The RCCG General Overseer spoke during the  November Holy Ghost Service at the Redemption City. He urged the Nigerian Government to handle the threat from President Trump of the United States of America with  diplomacy and wisdom.

He said: “If I am asked to make suggestions, I will say quietly to the governments to move wisely, diplomatically.

“I have cousins. There were times in Nigeria when Christians and Muslims were living together. I have families that are Muslims till date. When I was little, I ate sari with them, and I still eat my breakfast, but the issue of religion started when politics came into religion.”

He disclosed that he had met with a number of  presidents in the past to discuss security and religious crises,  but he added  that his influence was limited as he could only advise and not command the President.

Adeboye, “All the Presidents who were around when this trouble started, whatever I discussed is top privacy. I have done my best behind the scene, but as I have always told you, you can only advise a Commander-in-Chief; you cannot command him. But I have tried. God is my witness”

On the way forward for President Tinubu’s Government, Adeboye advised urgent and diplomacy with international powers.

His words: “What should we do now? If I was asked to make suggestions, I will say quietly to our government: move fast, move diplomatically, move wisely. Find a way to convince the President of America to please delay his actions for about 100 days, and then come home and tell our security chiefs to get rid of these terrorists within 90 days or resign.”

He noted that late President Muhammadu Buhari at a point  gave a similar order to the Service Chiefs but failed to follow up his order.

Adeboye: “There was a President,(Muhammadu) Buhari, who issued such an order. He called the Service Chiefs together and said, ‘Get rid of these Boko Haram people or resign.’ He ran with that advice but he did not follow through because he gave the order as the Commander, but he did not follow up.

To Tinubu, he advised:

“When giving orders to the Service Chiefs this time around, he should make it clear to them they are not only to eliminate the terrorists but also eliminate the sponsors, no matter how influential they may be. ”

He warned Nigeria

Adeboye to be cautious in its dealings with foreign powers, and stressed that no country would defend Nigeria if external conflicts arise.

Adeboye: “When I say our leaders should move diplomatically, we must take note of the fact that if America should attack us, China is not coming to defend us. Likewise Russia and Britain. All the so-called world leaders, they will talk and condemn what America has done, but they won’t help us.”

He disclosed that he was frustrated over comments made by President Tinubu, who he acknowledged  as his in-law, on the security situation in the country.

“I almost spoke last month when I heard the speech of my in-law (Tinubu), particularly that section that spoke about security. I heard him saying, all is well now, that displaced people have returned to their villages. I almost said the one who wrote that speech does not like him. Somebody wrote it, but it was the President who read it. There are several people around Tinubu who are not telling him the truth. The following day we read that a traditional ruler was killed in Kwara or Kogi.

“Our President inherited this problem. I am an Applied Mathematician; I am only interested in getting the problem solved.

“Let the Government use diplomatic methods to convince Trump to give us 100 days of grace to call our service chiefs to perform within three months or resign.”
