Ondo: Why Health Workers Abandon State Hospitals For Greener Pastures – NMA Chairman

Stella Adegbehingbe

By Ayodele Oni

Chairman, Nigeria Medical Association (NMA),  Ondo state chapter, Dr. (Mrs.) Stella Adegbehingbe has revealed that the state has been blacklisted in the medical world, due to continued government refusal to ensure regular payment of salary.

She stated that this has also led to mass exodus of medical personnel from the state in search of greener pastures.

The NMA leader, who spoke to Journalists in Akure, warned the  Ondo State government that the exodus would continue, unless the administration can do something to ensure regular payment salaries to health workers.

Government owned health institutions in the state are currently experiencing shortage of medical personnel, especially doctors and nurses, majority of whom had resigned due to non payment of their salary and allowances.

Dr. Adegbehingbe, who spoke on activities marking 2022 Conference of the Association in the state, disclosed that her members especially nurses, are owed four months salaries, while introduction of percentage salaries last year caused the exit of many doctors from the state health sector.

Giving an account of her stewardship in the last two years, Dr. Adegbehingbe said under her watch, NMA clinic was completed and delivered, as well as members welfare prioritized just as the state chapter now has a functional website.

She also hinted that her team is the first to document Ondo NMA history and has gone a step further to institute an ongoing review of the constitution and bye laws with the hope of getting them ratified before end of  tenure.

While also noting that it has been very challenging, she added that Ondo State is worst hit in terms of Medical doctors and other health workers leaving the service of the state government in the South-west, due to non payment of salaries and other allowances.

“On the issue of brain drain of Medical doctors and other health workers, we have not started to feel the impact yet because it is going to be very massive.

“It is not only in ondo state, though Ondo State is the worst hit in the South West and that is the truth. The national and the state body of NMA have been engaging government.

“Immediately the percentage payment started, we knew there would be problems. We also appealed to the government to be proactive so that these Medical doctors would be encouraged because once they start leaving, to get them back will be very difficult.

“Unfortunately, nothing was done and that was why at the beginning of my tenure, there were series of strikes and by the time we last went on strike, I told the government that there will no longer be strike because there will be no doctors to go on strike. The only solution to brain drain is the regular payment of salary.

“Now, government wants to employ more doctors, but people are not coming because in the medical world, Ondo State has been blacklisted and no one wants to come and work in here.”

On the line up of programmes for 2022 conference, Dr.  Adegbehingbe said the activities will come to a climax on Thursday for the Annual General Meeting (AGM) and end on Friday with a Jumat service.

She expressed appreciation to the body of doctors in the state for reposing trust in her leadership.

, Dr. Adegbehingbe thanked the state government for its contributions towards the completion of the NMA Clinic.

Launch Of New NNPC: Buhari Successfully Rebranded, Reinforced Corruption – CNPP

Buhari Unveils New NNPC

Conference of Nigeria Political Parties (CNPP) has said the unveiling of the new NNPC Limited by President Muhammadu Buhari amounts to rebranding and reinforcing corruption by the President without realising the impact of the action on the anti-corruption posture of the Buhari’s administration in the eyes of the international community.

In its reaction to the newly unveiled commercial brand by President Buhari in Abuja, the CNPP said in a statement signed by its Secretary General, Chief Willy Ezugwu, that “the time has come for countrymen and women to tell those managing the upstream and downstream sectors of the oil and gas industry in Nigeria the truth.”

The CNPP said that while the citizens are groaning under pressure of adverse economic conditions, the NNPC, which does not have other serious businesses except to import petrol into the country to service its subsidy scam, has again increased the pump price of fuel.

The CNPP said, “it is difficult to understand the reason for presenting the NNPC Limited as a commercially driven company.

“It is instructive to note that before now, the NNPC has a history of non-remittance of revenue to the federation account and there has been allegations that the management has been engaged in backdoor crude swap as part of the subsidy scam in the corporation over the years.

“Now, that the NNPP will be freed from Treasury Single Account (TSA) and others, what happens to the unremitted funds?

“Since the NNPC is no longer Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation but Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited and the same Mallam Mele Kyari is now transforming from Group Managing Director (GMD) of the old corrupt NNPC to the Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO) in a government controlled company, it amounts to rebranding corruption and reinforcing it.

“Why has the NNPC not ended fuel scarcity in the country? Why has NNPC under Mallam Mele Kyari preferring to import fuel with billions of dollars rather than building at least one refinery since he took office?

“It is because they are benefiting in many ways as the supervisors of the subsidy scam that has been going on in the NNPC even before President Muhammadu Buhari came into the office of the President of Nigeria.

“How can President Muhammadu Buhari, who is an anti-corruption crusader, be made to unveil a rebranded den of unresolved multiple corruption?

“How can we celebrate such negative achievement as a people and as a country?

“If Mr. President wants the new NNPC to work, he must sack all the management of the old NNPC, order a thorough investigation into all the unresolved allegations against the Group Managing Director of the old NNPC and his management team, then appoint fresh hands and relaunch the NNPC Limited.

“Without this, all efforts at incorporating an NNPC Limited without first cleaning up the old NNPC amounts to rebranding and reinforcing corruption by Mr. President without realising the impact of the action on the anti-corruption posture of his administration in the eyes of the international community”, the CNPP stated.

My Rift With Rochas Okorocha: Setting The Records Straight

0
Jude Obi

By Jude Agbaso

I would not have bothered myself reacting to Rochas Okorocha and his lap dog, Sam Onwuemedo, who has become notorious for suffering from an obvious psychiatric diarrhea of the mouth, but for the benefit of a few uninformed, who are still ignorant of the disaster that was Rochas Okorocha and the eight years of hell he put the good people of Imo State through, I have decided to put pen to paper and making some clarifications.

First and foremost, I would like to address some things I managed to pick out from the incoherent rambling Sam Onwuemedo called a press release.

In over ten years since I parted ways with Rochas Okorocha, I don’t think my name can be found in any press release, neither would you find anywhere that I made any comment whatsoever about his person.

I am that kind of person who refuses to carry poisonous garbage in my heart and brooding over Okorocha would be infecting myself with a poisonous disease. God forbid.

A few weeks ago however, a journalist, during the course of an interview, asked me a pointed question about what I thought about Okorocha’s regime and I gave an honest answer to that question and moved on.

Anybody you meet on the streets of Imo State would tell you that Rochas Okorocha’s eight years were the worst the state has ever seen. Where then is the hatred against Okorocha, when I simply stated what even a child would tell you?

Sam Onwuemedo ignorantly made reference to the fabricated lies cooked up by Okorocha against my person, simply because I refused to do things the way he and his cohorts wanted things to be done in the state.

Firstly, Sam Onwuemedo, let me inform you that from the High court to the Supreme Court, I have been cleared of all the lies brought against me and have been reinstated to my rightful place as a former Deputy Governor of Imo State.

But let me get into the whole JPros matter a little bit further.

Sam Onwuemedo claimed that I didn’t come to the 7-man “slaughter” table Okorocha had supposedly prepared for me.

First and foremost, no impeachment notice was served on my person and this is one out of the 12 steps that must by law, be taken before a Deputy Governor can be impeached.

I heard Okorocha and his cohorts were plotting to impeach me on the social media. No proper channel of official communication was followed to serve me any form of notice of impeachment. No notice was even published on the pages of any reliable newspaper.

How then can any sane human being appear before a Panel he was not properly served or informed of its sitting? One could dismiss it as a rumour or April fool prank, since the proper channels for such an action were not taken.

However, when I took steps and found out that such a panel existed, I sent a communication through my legal counsel to the Panel headed by one Justice Anonihu who Okorocha had procured for the hatchet job, informing them that no summon was served on my person to appear before them when constitutionally, they ought to have done so.

Now interestingly, without taking cognizance of my legal communication to them, the Panel, which like I stated above, was presided over by one Justice Anonihu, who was not even the Chief Judge of the State (note, the Chief Judge is supposed to have presided over the matter if they had followed Due Process) went on with what they had already been bought and paid to do.

It is really shocking how in less than 12 hours, the so-called panel supposedly called “witnesses”, went through “documents”, finished their “investigations”, reached a “verdict”, communicated their so-called verdict to the House of Assembly which by the way, was on recess at that time but was hurriedly reconvened for the job they had been most likely paid to do (to impeach me).

All these were processes that usually take days to be concluded so that every side would be heard before a verdict can be reached. Unfortunately, Anonihu, who is supposed to be an Honorable Justice and representative of Rule of Law, threw his name and integrity into the bush probably for the biblical plate of porridge and allowed himself to be used to disgrace the law of the country he swore to uphold.

The State Assembly then headed by Benjamin Uwajumogu, without asking any questions, within minutes, passed an impeachment verdict on me and communicated same to Okorocha. The State Assembly members working on instruction, refused to find out why I didn’t attend the so-called Panel hearing neither did they acknowledge the fact that I was not served any notice. Okorocha on his part, while sending his acceptance of their so-called decision, sent along the name of a new Deputy Governor he had already prepared to take over from me.

The so-called probe, investigation and impeachment took place in under 12 hours. You cannot even describe what happened that day as a miscarriage of justice. There  are no words for what Okorocha did that day or what he put Imo people through subsequently. This is the so-called “impeachment” Sam Onwuemedo was talking about.

Of course, I went to court and at every point, Okorocha cooked up interlocutory appeals that had nothing to do with the impeachment matter at hand, just to stall the case.

By the time we went from the High court to the Appeal and then to the Supreme Court which referred us back to the High court to commence the hearing of the impeachment matter proper, my tenure had been completely eroded.

Okorocha used Justice Ikpeama to adjourn and adjourn the matter and refused to hear the matter for two and half years. I would have petitioned Ikpeama at the NJC for allowing himself to be used to delay justice but to save his pension, I heeded to pleas.

Today the matter has been heard and I have received justice in my favour and the so-called impeachment has been vacated.

Now let’s look at the facts of the matter. The Joseph Dina Sam Onwuemedo talked about, was brought to Imo State by Okorocha, who offered Dina a contract and also inappropriately paid Dina via the Office of the Governor, through his Principal Secretary and not through the Ministry of Works which I was then the Commissioner. What does the Principal Secretary or the office of the Governor have to do with paying a road contractor? What did a State Lawmaker for that matter, have to do with awarding road contracts and paying contractors? This is the job of the Executive and should go through the Ministry of Works which would also supervise the quality of work being done. But it was the norm under Okorocha and my rejection of that obviously fraudulent style of “administration” was the real reason those lies were cooked up against me.

Even the payment to the contractor Joseph Dina, was made to him when I was in faraway India representing the State. So how then, did I get involved in the contract Okorocha awarded and paid for? How would I be collecting bribe for a contract I didn’t award or pay for? The lies didn’t just add up.

These were amongst the facts the Court saw and dismissed their kangaroo impeachment.

Okorocha and Benjamin Uwajumogu awarded road contracts to whoever they liked and that was where our problems started. That was why they decided to impeach me because I refused their style of awarding contracts without following proper procedures.

How would I collect bribe of N458million from Dina when I played no role in bringing him to Imo State or awarding him the contract? If there was a bribe given thereafter, Okorocha and his Principal Secretary who awarded the contract and disbursed the money to Dina, should give us account of it.

Today I enjoy all the rights and privileges of a former Deputy Governor Imo State.

Sam Onwuemedo by his ignorant mudslinging, has exposed himself to a lawsuit on his person which I am still considering.

Sometimes I wonder at Sam Onwuemedo’s mental health if he should tell me to cover my face in shame. Between I and Rochas Okorocha, who should cover his face in shame?

Till date, I move around my village, sit and interact with my people freely and unhindered. Can Rochas Okorocha do the same in his hometown of Ogboko?

I walk around freely in Owerri Municipal most times leaving my police detail behind so that they don’t harass people and people greet me warmly when they see me. Can Rochas Okorocha, who claimed he did well for Imo people do the same?

I dare Rochas Okorocha to take a walk with me around his hometown of Ogboko or around Owerri Municipal or anywhere in Imo State for that matter, without a single policeman and let’s see who would be stoned by the people.

I saw a picture of former Governor Ikedi Ohakim shopping alone at Shoprite Owerri without an army of policemen to protect him. Former governor Achike Udenwa moves around freely without an army of policemen to shield him from the people. If Okorocha cannot meet my challenge, then he has shown himself as the only former Governor who cannot move freely among his people and this is a clear indication that he failed the people and is afraid of what they would do to him if the police isn’t protecting him.

If Okorocha fails to meet my challenge, he should hide his face in shame for being the worst thing that ever happened to Imo people.

If fact, Rochas Okorocha and everything connected to him should hide their faces in shame for the generational curse and humiliation his greed has brought upon him and everything connected to him.

When the EFCC invited me over the lies Okorocha cooked up against me, as one who has nothing to hide, I honored their invitation and was cleared by them. I was never arrested neither did I sleep in their cell like we’ve seen happen to some hardened fraudsters and treasury looters. I didn’t pay a kobo to anybody to lobby EFCC for me.

We all witnessed the rather embarrassing theatrics of Rochas Okorocha when the EFCC paid him a visit. Yet this man hadn’t understood that he is a disgrace to himself and nobody takes him serious anymore.

I am a man that stands firmly for the truth and passively replied the journalist who sought my views on Okorocha’s administration. However, in a few days time, I would once again put pen to paper and give Ndi Imo a slightly more in-depth reaction on what I think about the administration of Rochas Okorocha as Imo State Governor.

Adeleke Receives Cetificate of Return from INEC

By Uche Mbah

Senator Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke, the winner of the just concluded governorship election in Osun State,  was on Wednesday issued a certificate of return by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

The dancing senator as Adeleke is widely known, received the certificate more than four days after his cousin, music superstar David Adeleke aka Davido expressed worry over INEC’s delay in issuing the certificate to the Governor-elect.

The development came four days after Adeleke defeated the incumbent governor of the state, Adegboyega Oyetola, in the keenly contested election to clinch the coveted office.

The certificate of return was presented to him at the INEC headquarters in Oshogbo.

Adetola has, however, appealed for calm among his supporters untill stakeholders confer to determine the next line of action which may include, but not limited to, going to Court to challenge the out of the election.

International election monitors and civil society in Nigeria have described the election as peaceful, fair and free.

Governor Oyetola  has not congratulated Adeleke.

He believed he won.

The magazine learnt on Thursday that the governor has now assembled about 50  lawyers, includes Senior Advocate of Nigeria, SANs to challenge Adeleke’s victory at the State Election Tribunal

Similarly, the appeal Court sitting in Akure has dismissed the case filed against Adeleke, seeking to disqualify him.

Dotun Babayemi, who filed the case against the nomination of Adeleke as PDP candidate for Osun 2022, claimed he was validly nominated as PDP  candidate for the election.

He lost the case at the lower court, but went on appeal

Zamfara Govt Warns Emirs Against Award Of Traditional Titles

Bandit kingpin - Adamu Aliero

By Ayodele Oni

Zamfara State government has rolled out measures to checkmate the award of chieftaincy titles to underserved persons by traditional rulers in the state.

This is coming after the Emir of Birnin ‘Yandoto of Tsafe Local Government Area, Aliyu Marafa, conferred a chieftaincy title on a wanted “notorious bandit leader,” Adamu Aliero aka Aleru.

Aliero who has been declared wanted by the Nigerian Police Force, NPF and his gang of bandits have been responsible for kidnapping and robbing residents of the state.

The state government through the secretary to the State Government, SSG Kabiru Sardauna, announced the suspension of the Emir in a statement.

Aleru was turbaned as Sarkin Fulani (Chief of Fulani) of Yandoto Emirate by the Emir.

Apart from suspending the Emir, Governor Bello Matawalle approved the appointment of a committee to investigate the circumstances leading to the action of the Emir.

The Governor, who holds traditional title of Matawallen Maradun now has directed traditional Institutions in the state to seek approval from the state Government before awarding and conferring traditional titles.

A statement by special adviser on public enlightenment, Zailani Bappa explained that “All Emirs, Senior District Heads and District Heads in the state are hereby directed to officially seek permission from the State Government before conferring traditional titles to anyone.

The statement added that the directive becomes necessary in order to check indiscriminate award and possible abuse of the traditional institution.

“Henceforth, no Emir, Senior District Head or District Head must appoint anybody into any traditional office without securing official permission and clearance from the state Government.

“Compliance to this directive is now mandatory and failure will attract serious reprimand from the state Government,” the government said.

CBN: Rewane Says Raising Interest Has Not Checkmated Inflation

0

On the back of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN increase of the interest rate, the Chief Executive Officer of Financial Derivative Company, Bismark Rewane says the apex bank has failed in its resolve to checkmate inflation. For the second time in two months, the apex bank raise the rate to 14 per cent from 11.5 per cent in April this year.

The interest rate is the benchmark used by commercial banks in the country to set their own interest rates.

The government bank Governor Godwin Emefiele disclosed after the end of the MPC monthly meeting on Tuesday that the rate has been increased from 13 per cent to 14 percent. All other parameters remained the same, the apex bank governor said.

According to him, “The committee resolved that the most rational policy option would be to further strengthen its tightening stance in order to effectively curtail the unabated rising trend of inflation.

“Members were conscious of the fact that output growth remained fragile. However, not curtailing inflation now could erode the monetary gains achieved in improving consumer purchasing power and thus worsen the poverty level for the vulnerable populace.”

He added that, “Committee thus vote unanimously to raise the Monetary Policy Rate (MPR). One member voted to increase the MPR by 150 basis points, six members by 100 basis points, one member by 75 basis points and three members by 50 basis points.

“Consequently, Committee resolved to increase the MPR by 100 basis points from 13 percent to 14 percent. In summary, MPC voted as follows:

“Increase MPR to 14% from 13, retain the Asymmetric Corridor at +100 and -700 basis points around the MPR, retain the CRR at 27.5 percent and retain liquidity ratio at 30 percent.”

The bank had last month moved the rate from 11.5 per cent, saying the action was needed to checkmate rising inflation in the country.

But Rewane said the move has failed to checkmate inflation. For instance, the inflation rate was 17 per cent in May when the interest rate was raised. It has now moved to 18. 6 per cent, according to figures obtained from the National Bureau of Statistics, NBS.

Speaking on a Channels Television News on Tuesday, Rewane said the general inflation rate was not affected as a result of CBN increase in interest rate last month, saying the effect on inflation still ‘remains flat’.

He said the CBN made the right decision to increase the rate having waited for 70 months to do so, saying the country must move with other countries which have also increased their interest rate, majorly due to the economic challenges rocking global economy as a result of the war between Russia and Ukraine.

He cited the rising price of diesel and floundering exchange rate as major drivers of inflation which must be looked into.

Meanwhile, the apex bank has warned politicians against illegal forex transaction to fund 2023 election, saying anyone caught will be severely punished.

“As for those who want to buy (sic) take naira from their account to buy dollars because of the election. I want to warn not advice that it is illegal to do so.

“Whereas it will sound more convenient to carry dollar because you could carry little dollars but with a lot of value in your pocket, but if the security agencies hold you, you know the implication of that,” Emefiele said.

CBN: How Emefiele Stopped Banks’ Insider Abuse

0
Godwin Emefiele

The Director-General of the Institute of Directors of Nigeria, IoD Dele Alimi, says the nation’s banking sector would have collapsed if not for the corporate governance rules introduced by the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN. The DG said the rules really checked the commercial banks from insider abuse and preserved the sector from total collapse.

Critics of Emefiele insist that the government bank has fared well in the area of ensuring that banks followed corporate rules, despite its failings in other critical areas, such as its obvious failure to save the naira from losing its value against major foreign currencies.

The CBN has also failed to checkmate rising inflation as the price of essential food items have now gone beyond the affordability of the average Nigerians.

“The CBN under Emefiele has tightened the belt on banks to ensure that they are sanctioned when they veer away from set down rules. All the management abuse we use to experience in the sector has reduced tremendously because banks no longer want to fall under CBN hammer,’ an analyst said.

He explained that insider abuse would have led to the collapse of some banks, with many shareholders and customers losing their funds.

“That was the situation in 2010 before former CBN Governor Lamido Sanusi came on board, and wielded the big stick on some erring banks which eventually led to merger in some instances and collapse of other banks,” he said.

Alimi told The PUNCH that it’s not yet uhuru, urging the Godwin Emefiele-led CBN to ensure that it doesn’t relent in its effort to entrench the rules in the system.

“Truth is that we have come a long way when we look at corporate governance in the banking sector. I agree that for a long time, adequate attention was not paid to good corporate governance in the sector, especially because the regulators did not provide the required supervision.

“In fact, the CBN must be commended for the timely interventions in recent times, which nipped in the bud what could have been a more devastating situation in the banking sector,” he said.

The CBN recently intervened in First Bank of Nigeria, reinstating its ousted chief executive officer and sacking the board of directors, criticising poor corporate governance issues in the bank.

Alimi emphasized that it will take time for the rules to be fully entrenched in the system.

According to Alimi, “The fact that this document is public has made people realise that there is a standard by which directors can be judged unlike before when anything would go. The code is a conglomerate of all best practices rules globally.

“However, what we have done is to look out for the best and bring them together within our own environment, taking into conclusion the peculiarity of our own environment and also the needs of our people and our economy.

“To an extent, it has impacted well, and shareholders now know what to do and how to hold people accountable when they are on boards of organisations.”

Rivers: Abe Dumps APC, Blames Tinubu

0

By Uche Mbah

All Progressives Congress, APC top shot in Rivers state, Senator Magnus Abe has resigned from the party.
With his resignation, the gale of resignations in the party has worsened, as close watchers of the party insist that more chieftains are still likely to leave over the factionalisation of the party.
Abe and immediate past Minister of Transportation and former Governor Rotimi Amaechi have been struggling for the control of the soul of the party in the oil bearing state.

Abe’s ally Golden Ben Chioma, a former factional APC chairman and former Majority Leader in the state House of Assembly had earlier in May dumped the party saying he has lost interest in its activities.

Ben Chioma’s action, some had predicted at the time set a tone for Abe’s eventually departure after struggling for years to seize the control of the party from Amaechi, who seemed more entrenched in the party and now close to APC presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Amaechi had last month directed his supporters to support Tinubu to win next year’s presidential election, urging them to ignore the fact that he lost the ticket to the former Lagos Governor at the last APC shadow presidential election in Abuja.
Amaechi’s and recent happenings in the party are said to have angered Abe who felt his future in the party is no longer secure, following suggestion that Tinubu is now working with Ameachi instead of him to actualise his presidential bid.

According to a letter he sent to Abdullahi Adamu, APC National Chairman, Abe said Tinubu has refused to negotiate with him on his resolve to become the governor of the state.

He cited the “seeming unwillingness to negotiate with me since he expects me to remain in the APC”.
Senator Abe said: “I wish to tender my resignation of membership of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

” My decision to quit is not unconnected with Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s seeming unwillingness to negotiate with me since he expects me to remain in the APC. Hence my resolve to seek alternative platform to actualize my Gubernatorial Ambition in Rivers State.

“I feel it is time to move on with my Ambition, having served this country as Lawmaker in the Rivers State House of Assembly, SSG of Rivers State, and Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

” Let me also use this moment to thank my teeming supporters, and some of those that defected from the APC, for standing by me in all these years, more importantly *H.E Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.*

” In the coming days, I shall tell Nigerians my next political decision.”
Meanwhile, the magazine learnt that Abe, a former Secretary to the State Government, SSG will either cross to Labour Party or PDP, depending on his negotiation with Governor Nyesom Wike, who many say has been working Abe since he became governor.
Amaechi, Wike and Abe served in the administration Sir Peter Odili, a former governor of the state.

National Population Commission Says Fake Recruitment Portal Circulating On Social Media

NPC Recruitment

By Akinwale Kasali

The National Population Commission, NPC, has cautioned prospective Nigerians seeking for employment for the Trial Census and the 2023 Census to disregard the fake 2022/2023 NPC Recruitment Portal circulating on Social Media.

The Commission said the information that it is recruiting is false and totally misleading, as it is a plot by some fraudsters to swindle unsuspecting Nigerians.

A statement signed by the Commission’s Director, Public Affairs, Isiaka Yahaya, says that the Commission disassociates itself from the Portal and reiterates the fact that the recruitment portal for the ongoing Trial Census is no longer active and was shut down the moment the Commission concluded its recruitment process for the exercise.

It added that the Commission assures Nigerians of its transparency towards the 2023 Census including the recruitment of Adhoc Staff.

Yahaya stressed that the Commission is taking every measure to uncover those behind the fraudulent recruitment site, and warned scammers to desist from this inglorious act as the Commission would bring into play the full weight of the law to bear on perpetrators in its quest to to conduct the first fully Digital Population and Housing Census in Nigeria in 2023 that will be credible and acceptable.
