How Nigeria Police Burst Two International Fraud Suspects

Cybercrime Suspects

By Ayodele Oni

In continuation of the war against cybercrime and international fraud, the Nigeria Police Force National Cybercrime Centre (NPF-NCCC) has busted two suspects in Benin city, Edo State.

According to report from its website, the suspects are allegedly responsible for computer-related fraud, identity theft, cryptocurrency fraud, and obtaining money by false pretence.

The report claimed that the duo run a syndicate specializing in defrauding unsuspecting victims from foreign countries by assuming appealing identities of other persons and promising them romantic relationships, under the pretext of which they defraud their victims.

In the extant case, a report on their activities was received from Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency in Korea through the Interpol National Central Bureau that in May, 2021, the suspects approached the victim, one Baek Seong-hee, a Korean national, via Kakaotalk, a mobile messaging application used majorly in South Korea, under the guise of being a member of the US Armed Forces stationed in Yemen.

“The suspect used the pretext of a romantic relationship and defrauded the victim of 259,637,941 Korean Won (KRW) worth of cryptocurrency equivalent to about 91 million Nigerian Naira.

“Subsequent investigations led the NPF-NCCC to the arrest of the duo of Odia Theophilus aged 24 and Ebo Junior Success aged 25 at their hideout in Benin City, Edo State.

“The suspects confessed to being part of a syndicate responsible for these crimes and stated their roles as accomplices who provide bank accounts for fraudsters in furtherance of their nefarious activities.

“The Inspector-General of Police, (IGP) Usman Alkali Baba, psc(+), NPM, NEAPS, fdc, CFR, has lauded the efforts of the Head, NPF-NCCC, DCP Uche Ifeanyi Henry, in ensuring a clampdown on cybercrime related offences.

“The IGP similarly extolled the collaboration being enjoyed with other police agencies worldwide via the Interpol NCB platform stressing its importance in tackling transnational crimes.

“Suspects will be charged to court upon conclusion of investigations.”

Jonathan Supporters Declare Support For Tinubu

0

The Citizens Network for Peace and Development in Nigeria, CNPDN, has declared support for the presidential ambition of Bola Tinubu, All Progressives Congress, APC.

Recall that the group worked for former president Goodluck Jonathan. Their support for the APC candidate will, therefore, shock many who are not unfamiliar with the role played by Tinubu and others to truncate the second term ambition of former President Jonathan.

But the pro-Jonathan group in a statement on Sunday, said they took the decision to support Tinubu because of their belief that power must shift to the south. They called on six south south state governors who have earlier supported backed the all for power shift to south but have now back- tracked, to resign their positions with immediate effect.

The group is particularly angry with Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta state for accepting to be the Vice president candidate of the People Democratic Party, PDP, after agreement by southern governors early this year, that power must return to the south after the expiration of the tenure of incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari.

The meeting by southern governors where the agreement was reached was held in Asaba, Delta state capital.

The group which said it has kicked off its campaign for Tinubu in Port Harcourt, Rivers state said their position is in line with the popular mantra that power must shift to the south.

According to the statement signed in Abuja by the coalition’s National Secretary Francis Okereke Wainwei, the group said no going back in its support to ensure that Tinubu wins next year’s presidency.

He said the decision of the group for power shift is in line with the position of the Northern Governors’ Forum of the APC and the Southern Governors’ Forum, which had agreed that the South should produce the next President in 2023, adding that this is important to keep the country united.

The statement read, “Our position that the next President of this country should come from the South is driven by the same vision and principle that will strengthen the unity and peace of the nation.

It will give a better sense of belonging to the people of Southern Nigeria and foster a more viable peaceful co-existence among Nigerians.

“We were, therefore, surprised by the betrayal of the same cause by some of the Southern governors, especially the Southsouth governors, except (Rivers State Governor) Nyesom Wike, who had earlier declared for a Southern President, to abandon same and started pursuing their interests instead of the collective interest of the region.

“We are, therefore, calling on the Southsouth governors who have betrayed their people by supporting another northern candidate to take over from President Buhari after eight years… to resign immediately.

“This is because the people of the Southsouth can no longer trust them with their common heritage as they have placed their interests above the collective interest of their people.

“Our call on them to resign is also premised on the fact that they recently received huge sums of money via the 13 per cent Derivation Fund and squandered same in pursuit of their interests at the expense of their people.

“We are also calling on the Southsouth States’ Houses of Assembly to impeach the said governors, if they fail to resign as requested.

“We shall mobilise our members across the Southsouth states to force the said governors to resign or get impeached. We can’t allow such selfish governors to continue to govern us anymore. We must all place the collective interest of our people above our interests for our region to experience holistic and accelerated development.”

Tinubu, according to those watching the country’s political space is among three frontline presidential candidates for next year’s election.

“Wike Will Know Himself In Few Months – Secondus; Says Governor Deluded, Overwhelmed, Frustrated By Losses

0
Uche Secondus and Nyesom Wike

By Adesina Soyooye

A former National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Prince Uche Secondus, has said that in a few months time, the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, will realize where he is and what he has done to himself.

Secondus, in a statement signed on his behalf by his Special Assistant  on Media, Alaibi Nnana Joseph, said that for now, Wike is deluded and overwhelmed by his losses.

Wike an aspirant to the Presidential seat was defeated at the Primary by Atiku Abubakar. He also lost the position of Atiku’s running mate to his Delta State counterpart, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa.

Since his losses, Wike has been at loggerheads with the National Chairman of the Party, Dr Iyorchia Ayu, who he blames for his losses, and Atiku,  the beneficiary,  who Wike says is backing Ayu and has frustrated his request and that of the Integrity Group, a rebellious group in the PDP, that Ayu steps down from office.

Wike and the Group which includes four other Governors and some stakeholders have refused to participate in PDP activities, including the Presidential Campaign. They are publicly working against Atiku, their Party’s Candidate and, according to Wike. There is no indication that they would vote Atiku.

Every supporter of Atiku in Rivers State has been declared an enemy by Wike, who a few days ago, sealed the Presidential Campaign office of Atiku in Porthacourt.

In the past few days too, Wike has been hitting Secondus in the Media for daring to tell him that he, Wike, has no powers to tell Rivers people who to vote for, in response to Wike’s statement that he would tell Rivers people his choice of Presidential Candidate in January, 2023.

Wike responded by saying that Secondus has no Secondary School certificate, cannot understand grammar, and has since been expelled from the PDP.

In response to Wike, Secondus said that Wike’s problem is that he has not recovered from his losses to Atiku and Okowa.

In the statement, Alaibi said Wike is overwhelmed by a “self inflicted delusion” that he was going to win the PDP Presidential Primary.

Alaibi posited that Wike has not been able to bear the burden of his losses, and has since then “embarked on a solitary psychotic adventure, choosing to entertain himself, nay the small crowd of people, that congregate around him for his entertaining value, and the little reward that comes with it.”

He lamented at how low Wike has sunk  by making “an enemy out of anyone sane enough not to be party to his gale of anger and frustration.”

Said the statement in part:

“There is a popular African saying that the display of a lunatic is always a delight to see, but no one desires to have a lunatic as a child.

“It is pitiable seeing the dramatic display of Governor Nyesom Wike since he lost the Presidential Primaries of the Peoples Democratic Party in May.

“Whereas Governor Wike allowed himself to be overwhelmed by self-inflicted delusions that he was poised to win the Presidential ticket of the PDP, but lost. And since his loss, the Governor has yet to recover from the shock of his defeat.

“Perhaps, the burden of electoral defeat became too heavy for Wike to bear. He has since his defeat, embarked on a solitary psychotic adventure, choosing to entertain himself, nay the small crowd of people that congregate around him for his entertaining value and the little reward that comes with it.

“Governor Wike has taken an enemy out of everyone who is sane enough not to be a party to his gale of anger and frustration.

“That he is picking on Prince Uche Secondus is nothing new in the long list of people that Wike has ripped apart with his unbridled tongue.

“It is not the intention of this piece to add value to his lunatic discharges that seem to put the revered Prince Secondus of Ngo KIngdom in (a) bad light. Far from it.

“Rather, the purpose of this piece is to admonish Governor Wike to be mindful  of the fact that in a matter of weeks away, Rivers State will have a new Governor-elect and the earlier that reality dawns on the Emperor-Governor, the better.

“No one leaves the path of an ex-horseman. Wike will be an ex-horseman in a matter of months, and people whom he had ridden roughshod over will demand certain answers from him.

“Before then, it is only reasonable to wish Governor Wike quick recovery from his current predicament, and to remind him of another African proverb that says that while a man with tattered dress will dance all night in the cover of darkness, soon, the day shall break, and his shame will come to light.”

Wike and Secondus were very close to the extent that Wike installed him as the PDP National Chairman. But down the line, they disagreed and Wike engineered Secondus’ removal from office.

Secondus, has before now, joined the long and  growing list of Wike’s political allies who he no longer sees eye to eye with.

“It Has Been My Long Life Ambition To Murder My Father” – Afeez, Who Murdered His Military Officer Father

0
Adeiza Hassan Yusuff
The murdered Naval Officer, Adeiza Hassan Yusuff.

By Adesina Soyooye

Afeez Yusuff, the renegade who murdered his own father, has told shell-shocked and numb-struck family members, friends and the Police, why he murdered his own father. He said it has been his life-long ambition to do that. He, thus, put a lie to the viral story that Afeez killed his father because the deceased refused to give him the sum of N1.5million from his pension and gratuity.

Lieutenant Commander Adeiza Hassan Yusuff, rtd, 52, was murdered by his son in the early night of December 20, 2022.

Yusuff, the retired officer, had only two children – Afeez and his younger sister, a Youth Corper serving in Lagos. Afeez was his only son, who turned rogue. He is wayward, and lives a rough life soaked in hard drugs.

But his father had hope.

He never gave up on him. He showered Afeez with love. And even started a couple of businesses for him.

His wife, Afeez’s mother, had died early in life, and his father became a single parent, taking care of two children. Three years down the line, he remarried to  a lady who never had a child in life,  but whole-heartedly took Afeez and his sister as her own children.

Inspite of Afeez’s rough life, it was a closely-knit family or so they thought. Even when Afeez had a baby by one of his type, the family accepted mother and child. They lived together in their home at Ayobo, Lagos.

In the night of 20th December, the night Afeez killed his father, he had it all methodically planned.

His step mother was away to Dubai. And Afeez sent his wife and baby out on a flimsy excuse. He was setting the stage for the heinous crime. He was alone with his father who had just come in.

Then, Afeez suddenly put on the generator, even though public power supply was on.  Then, he locked all doors. Not suspecting anything, his  father came out to ask what happened.  Afeez, then, switched off all lights.

As his father approached in the dark to inquire what the problem was, Afeez hit him on the head with a pestle. His father fell down, screamed, but was still conscious of his environment. Then Afeez brought out a matchet and went to work on his screaming father, butchering him as his father, in pain, ran around in the house, begging him to stop.

Neighbors who heard the chilly screams ran out to help. They pleaded, but Afeez refused to open the doors. He calmly told them, as they listened to the heart-rending screams as he butchered his father, that he would open the doors when he was through.

Indeed, he did, and was about to jump the fence to escape, when the neighbors, in a display of courage, grabbed him and called the Police.

The viral story that Afeez killed his father because the retired officer refused to give him the sum of N1.5m from his pension money is fake. There was nothing like that.

In fact, courtesy of his murdered father,, Afeez was set to travel to the United Kingdom to see if he would change, and make a success of his life.

Asked by the Police if he was aware of his proposed trip to the UK in January, 2023, he answered in the affirmative.

Why did he kill his father then? Did his father hurt him in anyway? Afeez, face expressionless, unremorseful, told family, friends, neighbors and the Police that nothing, even the trip to the UK, could have stopped him from killing father. He told them it has been his life-long ambition to murder his father.

Hereunder, a devastated Course mate, and very close friend  of the gruesomely murdered Military Officer, in a moving tribute, tells the life story of how and why  Lt. Cdr. Afeez, a loving husband and  father  was murdered by his own son. The tribute is titled:

I Speak For The Dead

The social scene has been abuzz by the news of patricide (a son killing his father) that occurred on the night of the 20th December, 2022, at their residence in Ayobo, a border town between Ogun and Lagos State.

Different theories (mostly untrue) as to what led up to the tragic event have been making the rounds.

I was fortunate enough to share a deep connection with the deceased who was a retired Lieutenant Commander of the Nigerian Navy, and I believe I am one of the people in the best position to set the record straight as I and the deceased had known each other for thirty-seven (37) years.

I will use my extensive knowledge of the deceased and the family he left behind, including the son who stands guilty of committing this heinous crime, to narrate this story as accurately as possible. So help me God.

Retired Lieutenant Commander Adeiza Hassan Yusuff (Lt Cdr AH YUSUFF) was born on the 3rd August 1965 and he was a native of Ikuehi, Ihima in Okehi LGA of Kogi State. He spent most of his formative years in Ibadan, Nigeria, growing up with relatives, having lost  both parents at an early age.  He enlisted in the Nigerian Navy on the 17th  February 1985 as a Weapon Electrical Artificer and he studied and passed several professional courses and passed through many rigorous training successfully, making him one of the best Weapon Electrical Artificers during his service years.

In his early years in the Military, he got married to the mother of his children but sadly she passed away after a brief illness in the year 1999 at the Nigerian Navy Reference Hospital, Ojo, Lagos, leaving behind a son and a daughter.

Despite him grieving his late wife whom he loved dearly from all appearances and the abrupt adjustment to a single fatherhood, Lt Cdr Yusuff poured all his love, devotion and attention towards his children and his work. He was commissioned as a Sub Lieutenant in the Nigerian Navy on the 14th December 2001.

Due to the exigencies of service as a Naval officer, it became very difficult to move to different places of appointment with the little children and he felt it was unfair to uproot the children from one environment to the other, so he decided to give the children proper roots and a suitable growing environment by taking a new wife, three years after the demise of his wife.

The new wife (name withheld for security reasons) was never blessed with a child of her own but from the moment she knew the children, she took them as hers, devoting all her love and attention to them and making sure that they never lacked love and support from her and Lt Cdr Yusuff.

After 35 years of service in the Nigerian Navy, Lt Cdr Yusuff was honourably retired on the 17th February 2020. He was bestowed with honors like FSS and Pjsc.   He was among the best Weapon Electrical Officers the Nigerian Navy ever produced and he left indelible and evident  marks in all his places of appointment as  an officer of the Nigerian Navy.

Overcome with gratitude and affection, Lt Cdr Yusuff bought cars and property for his family. For Mrs Yusuff, he bought a Lexus 330RX and for his children, he bought a Toyota Corolla and made further efforts to support them both in their different higher institutions.

While the younger sibling (Name withheld for security reasons) has been doing very well for herself, she is of good character and has graduated from higher institution and presently doing her National Youth Service in Lagos, the older sibling, Afeez (a young man of 28 years) has always been a source of challenge and constant worry to both parents.

He has been dismissed from three different higher institutions, due to different infractions. He was hooked on hard drugs and kept very questionable company. He was into fraudulent activities and most recently, he impregnated a girl with questionable character and they both had a baby girl.

Lt Cdr Yusuff was never tired of his son but accepted him, the mother of his baby and the little baby too. He was their primary caretaker and he made sure they never lacked anything, all the while, never neglecting his other responsibilities to his wife and his second child.

Lt Cdr Yusuff put his son on a monthly allowance and established a barbing salon and POS stand for him to be able to take care of himself and his new family’s needs.

Earlier in this year, 2022, Lt Cdr AH Yusuff was in Abuja to obtain some documents from the Military Pension Board to enable him get a bank loan for his son to travel to the United Kingdom for a chance of a better life.  All necessary papers had been processed and the son, Mr Afeez Yusuff, was scheduled to travel to the United Kingdom in January 2023.

Meanwhile,  a relative of Lt Cdr AH Yusuff’s wife delivered a baby and invited Mrs Yusuff to Dubai to take care of the new baby, since she is closest relative the new mother had as a caretaker.  It was a welcome news for the family as Mrs Yusuff took this trip as an overdue mini vacation.

She travelled out of the country on  15th  October 2022 and was initially supposed to return in January, 2023. She left her husband and Afeez and his family behind.

It must be pointed out though, that there are other tenants occupying the Boys’ Quarters at the Yusuff’s residence but he stayed in the main house with Afeez and his family.

Prior to the tragedy that occurred, Afeez sent his wife and baby away on some flimsy errand leaving him and his father alone in the house. On Tuesday 20th December,2022, Lt Cdr AH Yusuf returned home during the early hours of the evening and his son calmly welcomed him home.  While Yusuff was about to retire into his bedroom, Afeez went out and put on the generator. He locked all the entrances to the house and when his father went to check on his son and inquire why he put on the generator when there was public power supply, Afeez put the change over switch to neutral throwing the whole house into darkness.

Unable to see, his father called out to him, Afeez hid himself in the dark, armed with a pestle with which he dealt a dazing blow on his father’s head. even while dazed and confused Lt Cdr AH Yusuff had the presence of mind to shout for help which alerted the tenants while his son descended on him with cutlass inflicting deadly blows and cuts on his head and body.

The tenants on hearing his desperate cries for help came over trying to force doors open but the doors had been locked by Afeez. Despite desperate pleas from both the tenants and the now gravely injured Lt Cdr Yusuff, Afeez continued chasing and delivering deadly blows to his father who was running around the house in a state of severe pain and confusion while the tenants could only watch helplessly.

Afeez calmly told them that when he was through with what he was doing, he would open the doors.  True to his words, when Afeez had mutilated Lt Cdr AH Yusuff beyond recognition and subsequently killed him, he opened the door and attempted to jump over the fence to escape, but was apprehended and handed over to the Police.

At the Police Station, family and friends that wanted to find out what angered him so much as to kill his father, Afeez was reported to have said that his father did nothing to draw his ire but it was his (Afeez’s) life long ambition to kill his father.

Neighbors, family and friends that had knowledge of the arrangements his father had made for Afeez to travel out of the country inquired of Afeez if he too was also aware, he replied that even if it remained a day for him to travel out of the country, he would still have killed his father.

Up to the time of writing this, Mr Afeez Yusuff has not even provided the slightest excuse, neither has he shown any remorse to justify his heinous action.

I write this as an insider to discard all other news making the rounds.  Lt Cdr AH Yusuff (Rtd) never neglected his family. His life revolved around his family, especially his two children and he died as he lived, a loving, caring father who did everything in his power to provide the best that life could offer for his children.

You will always be remembered and the person responsible for your untimely and violent demise would face the full extent of the law.

Rest on, My Course mate, my bosom friend, my village man, ever smiling Lt Cdr AH Yusuff.  You died as man, a father and a friend.  Rest in Peace, Sir.

Buhari Breaches Constitution –  Kukah; Accuses His Government Of Nepotism

0
Matthew Kukah and Buhari

By Akinwale Kasali

President Muhammadu Buhari has been accused of breaching Nigeria’s Constitution which he swore to uphold.

The Catholic Bishop of Sokoto Diocese, His Lordship, Matthew Hassan Kukah made the accusation in his 2022 Christmas Message to Nigerians.

Not a few Nigerians of all Faith usually look forward to Kukah’s Easter, Christmas and New Year Messages during which he x-rays the State of the Nation.

His Christmas Message for 2022 was not different. He accused President Muhammadu Buhari of failure in al sectors including economy, security, health and corruption.

Kukah submitted that at the end of Buhari’s tenure on  May 29, 2023, the President would, unfortunately, leave Nigeria worse than was handed over to him in 2015.

He, also, accused Buhari of failing to deliver on all the promises he made in 2015 to Nigerians, and alleged that Mr President practices nepotism. This, Kukah explained, is one aspect of the Constitution which Buhari brazenly breaches.

Bishop Kukah to President Buhari: ‘’It is sad that despite your lofty promises, you are leaving us far more vulnerable than when you came; that the corruption we thought would be fought has become a leviathan, and sadly, a consequence of a Government marked by nepotism.”

Bishop Kukah recalled that in his 2021 Chrismas Message, he accused President Buhari of rubbishing Federal Character as enshrined in the Constitution. One year on, Bishop Kukah sadly opines, nothing has changed.

He said: ‘’In my Christmas message last year, I pointed out the fact that you had breached the Constitution by your failure to honour and adhere to the federal character provisions of our Constitution. The evidence is all before us all.’’

President Buhari will leave office on May 29, 2023. His successor will be elected by Nigerians on February 25, 2023.

Ado-Akure Road Rehabilitation Stalled By Legal Tussle – Minister Of State, Adegoroye

Prince Ademola Adegoroye

By Ayodele Oni

The hope of getting contractor to fix dilapidated Ado – Ikere – Akure highway, has been hindered by a legal tussle.

The former contractor handling the road is aggrieved over the re-award of the project to another contractor and has gone to Court to stop work on the highway.

The road has been abandoned by travelers who, now, resort to an alternative route to get to their destination, as it has become kidnappers den due to its dilapidation.

Minister of State for Transportation, Ademola Adegoroye , disclosed in Akure, Ondo state on Monday that reconstruction work on the highway is being hindered by a court action.

Media Aide to the Minister, Ebenezer Adeniyan, stated in a statement that Adegoroye spoke on the present status of the contract when he featured on a Radio programme.

Adegoroye said the contract for the project has been re awarded but the Court action instituted by the former contractor has stalled the execution of the project.

“I know how our people are suffering on that road. My mother is from Ekiti and my father is from Akure.

“So, I know how crucial that road is to our people in Ondo and Ekiti States. We are not relenting in our efforts on the road.

“Two days ago, I and the new Governor of Ekiti State, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji, met and we discussed this issue.

“We resolved to meet with the former contractor in January to see how the issue can be settled out of court so that the project can take off.”

The Minister also spoke on his effort to secure employment at the federal civil service for Youths in Ondo state saying a number of jobless youths in Ondo State have been penciled down for recruitment into various agencies of the federal government.

Adegoroye, explained that one of his priorities when he assumed office was to get as many Ondo State indigenes as possible recruited into federal civil service, and that the first batch of beneficiaries has been shortlisted and will soon be issued letters.

According to him, this is in continuation of his advocacy to correct the poor representation of Ondo State in federal civil service, which had necessitated his visit to the Head of Service of the Federation shortly after he assumed office in Abuja.

Buhari Spending Personal Money For London Treatment – APC; Nigerians Say Claim Is A Lie

0
Muhammadu Buhari - Londo Trip

By Akinwale Kasali

The All Progressives Congress, APC, has said that President Muhammadu Buhari does not spend public funds on his trips to a United Kingdom Hospital for his medicals.

The APC said Buhari has been spending his personal money in London. Proof: “It is the same hospital and the same doctors he has been patronising for about 40 years”, according to the Director of Publicity, APC, Bala Ibrahim.

The APC reacted to a part of the Christmas Message delivered by the Catholic Bishop of Sokoto Diocese, His Lordship, Matthew Kukah, where he noted that Buhari is looking better healthwise than in 2015 when he became President, and wished that millions of Nigerians had same opportunity to take care of their health.

In the message titled: “Let Us Turn A New Leaf”, Bishop Kukah noted, on the President’s several trips to the United Kingdom for medical treatment, and told the President:

‘’I speak for myself and Nigerians when I say, we thank God that He mercifully restored you to good health.

‘’We know that you are healthier now than you were before. We can see it in the spring in your steps, the thousands of miles you have continued to cover as you travel abroad. May God give you more years of good health.

‘’However, I, also, wish that millions of our citizens had a chance to enjoy just a fraction of your own health by a measurable improvement in the quality of health care in our country.”

Stung by Kukah’s reference to Buhari’s good health now,  the APC told Nigerians that Buhari has been spending his personal funds, a claim Nigerians say is fit for the dustbin only.

Bala Ibrahim:  “I hold him (Kukah) in high esteem and respect him because he is a senior brother to a friend.

“Secondly, he is a man of God. But I am sorry to say that sometimes his speeches are ungodly. Ungodly in the sense that he does not seem to be objective at times.

“When we talk about healthcare, if Kukah is insinuating that Buhari has used public office or his position to access better healthcare, I think he has not been fair to him. All the medical attention the President has been getting has been abroad and at no cost to the government. He has been seeing the same set of doctors he was seeing in the last 40 years.

“This is not a new hospital he visits. It is the same facility and doctors he uses for years in London long before he became the military Head of State.

“Buhari has not taken advantage of Nigerian healthcare to the betterment of his own health. Kukah himself knows that very well because we have discussed it in the past.”

However, not a few Nigerians say that Ibrahim’s claim of the President not spending public funds on his trips to the UK makes no sense and only meant to deceive.

They confronted him with a barrage of questions.

For instance, Aliyu, a lawyer asked: ” Does the President pay the security agents and medical officials who travel with him and the Presidential fleet crew members, their estacode and travel allowances from his pocket? Does he pay for their accommodation from his pocket? Does he feed them from his pocket? What about his own accommodation? Does he pay from his pocket?

“Does he fuel the Presidential jet from his pocket? Does he service it from his pocket? Does he pay for the parking lot from his pocket?

“These politicians should know when to shut-up. We are just happy that the President’s health is better than when he came in. But nobody should talk about paying from his pocket. We are no fools.”

President has gone to the UK a number of times over his health. In one such trips, Buhari was away for about six months.

Killing Of Lagos Lawyer:  Atiku Calls For Quick Justice

Bolanle Raheem - Lawyer - KIlled By Policeman

By Ayodele Oni

The Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has urged the Inspector General of Police to bring an Assistant Superintendent who shot a Lagos lawyer and killed her on Christmas day to quick justice will put an end to such barbaric act in the country.

Barrister (Mrs) Omobolanle Raheem, was shot and killed by a Police  Officer attached to Ajiwe Police Station, Ajah, Lagos State.

Raheem, it was gathered, was shot on Sunday by the unnamed policeman when the car she was in tried to make a U-turn under the Ajah Bridge.

The victim was rushed to a hospital but was confirmed dead.

Reacting on Monday, the PDP Candidate condemned, in strong language, the sad incident, and expressed his condolences to the family of the deceased and members of the Nigerian Bar Association, saying the killing “calls to attention the urgent need for Police reforms.”

Atiku wrote on Twitter, “The shooting of Bolanle Raheem by a Police officer is heartbreaking and stands condemned.

“This latest shooting calls to attention the urgent need for Police reforms that will sanitize the Force and bring it in line with best policing practices.
