The face off between controversial musician, Habeeb Okikiola, popular as Portable, and controversial Social Media Critic and Activist, Martins Vincent Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan, VDM, is yet to abate.

The drama began when VDM publicly urged President Bola  Tinubu to address Nigeria’s worsening economic crisis and the deadly attacks in Benue State.

In response, Portable took to his Instagram Page, slamming VeryDarkMan, accusing him of hypocrisy.

Portable had claimed that VeryDarkMan only began living a luxurious lifestyle under President Tinubu’s administration and should stop criticizing the leader.

This triggered VeryDarkMan, who fired back by posting an old video allegedly showing Portable being beaten in 2020 over claims he stole a Tricycle, popularly called in Local Parlance as Keke Marwa or Keke Napep, before rising to fame.

The feud further intensified after VeryDarkMan released a diss track targeted at Portable and two other popular figures, repeatedly chanting “Ole!”—the Yoruba word for “Thief.”

Not accepting defeat, Portable entered the studio and released a track of his own.

Taking to Instagram, he posted a snippet of his own diss track aimed squarely at VeryDarkMan, in which he categorically denied the theft accusation.

He further lashed out at VeryDarkMan, calling him a “Dodi”, a slang term with unclear meaning and made several controversial remarks, including accusations about VeryDarkMan’s sexuality.

“VeryDarkMan, your mother. You’re a poor person. Your father is a shoemaker. I take after my father. I’m not a thief. Stop calling me a thief,” Portable raps in the track.
