Popular Artiste, Jaywon Convicted, Fined and Sentenced For Violating Curfew Order

Popular Hip Hop Artiste and Former Kennis Music Record Act, Oluwajuwonlo Illedare, popularly known as Jaywon by his teeming fans, has been convicted.  He was fined N10,000,  and sentenced to 30 minutes Community Service for not adhering to the use of Face Mask, as ordered by the Federal and Lagos State Governments. He, also, violated  the 8pm to 6am curfew order, as he was seen driving at about 11.00pm.

The Egbe, Kogi State born singer was on Monday arrested by the men of the Lagos State Police attached to Dolphin Estate Division alongside 178 others.

The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Lagos State, DSP Bala Elkanah made this known on Tuesday evening.

He stated that 58 persons were arrested for not wearing face masks and 121 persons were arrested for not respecting the 8 pm to 6 am curfew.

Jaywon was subsequently taken into custody by 11 pm on Monday while driving to an unknown location.

Jaywon whose statement was taken at the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Panti, Yaba, was charged before a mobile court on Tuesday, May 5.

He pleaded guilty to the charges leveled against him and was ordered to pay a fine of N10,000, and also sentenced to 30 minutes community service.
