PDP Governors’ Forum Backs NLC On Minimum Wage, Seeks Political Solution In Rivers Crisis Between Fubara & Wike

Bauchi State Governor and Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governors’ Forum, Bala Mohammed, led his colleagues for a meeting in Enugu on Wednesday.

At the end of about four hours parley, the PDP Governors’ Forum three its weight behind the demand for a new minimum wage by the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC).

This is coming despite the position of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, (NGF), a parent body which is advocating for pay disparity for each state according to its ability.

The governors also supported the federal government’s stance on granting autonomy to local governments.

Governor Bala and Chairman of the Forum, addressed the press on behalf of his colleagues during which he read the resolutions.

He called for a political solution to the ongoing crisis in Rivers State between Governor Sim Fubara and his predecessor, Nyesom Wike.
