The Bourdillion, Ikoyi Lagos abode of the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has become a Mecca of sort for politicians, allies and well wishers, just like when he was in the United Kingdom for medicals.
Surprisingly, one of his greatest critics, Pa Ayo Adebanjo, the leader of Afenifere, a Pan Yoruba Group, visited the former Lagos state Governor at his Ikoyi residence on Tuesday.
Tinubu received Pa Adebanjo, his daughter, Shade, Chief Supo Sonibare, Oba Olaitan Oladipo and retired Assistant Inspector General of Police Tunji Alapini, during their visit.
The visit came as a surprise to political observers who had watched keenly from the sidelines how the Afenifere leadership continually criticized Tinubu and his romance with President Muhammadu Buhari to actualize his 2023 Presidential ambition.
Pa Adebanjo had accused Tinubu of being silent on the herdsmen crisis because he thinks President Buhari will make him his successor.
Adebanjo had advised Tinubu and other APC members from the South-West to leave the party in the interest of Yorubaland.
It was gathered from sources and aides close to Pa Adebanjo, that the essence of the visit was to check on him (Tinubu) and know how he is fairing having just returned from a medical trip to UK.
The source added that the last time Tinubu and Pa Adebanjo met was in April during the burial of the former Publicity Secretary of Afenifere, Yinka Odumakin.
