“How can anybody kidnap the Chief Priest of Ala Owerri in Igboland? It is an abomination,” one of them said.

They chanted war songs, and moved in and out of the Owerri Municipality Headquarters demanding the immediate release of the Chief Priest. They feared the anger of the gods would be strong both for their community and the Kidnappers.
