For diverting palliatives meant for the people, Osun state Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has suspended his Senior Special Assistant on Civil Societies, Oluwaseun Adebisi.
According to a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Olawale Rasheed, on Wednesday, the Governor ordered the suspension of Adebisi pending the outcome of investigation by a panel headed by the Chief of Staff, Kazeem Akinleye.
Adebisi was accused of diverting 70 bags of rice meant for civil societies in the State. He was also alleged to be the mastermind of the crisis rocking the State chapter of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, (NYC).
In the the meantime, the Governor has warned the transport workers in the State against actions and activities capable of plunging the state into violence and lawlessness.
In a statement on Wednesday in Osogbo, Governor Adeleke directed the Commissioner for Transportation to again summon a reconciliatory meeting of all the warring groups within the transport sector.
