Ondo: Kidnappers Collect N2 Million, Free Chief Imam

Kidnapped Chief Imam of Uso community in Owo local government area of Ondo State, Alhaji Ibrahim Bodunde Oyinlade who was abducted on Saturday, has regained his freedom.

He was released by his abductors Sunday evening and dropped at a spot near the town which is on Owo-Akure Highway.

Family sources confirmed that before his release by his captors, ransome was paid. The abductors had earlier demanded for N10 million to free the Islamic Cleric out of which N2 million was raised.

A family source confirmed that individuals in the community and the family members were begged to raise N2 million to secure the release of the Islamic cleric.

Alhaji Oyinlade had left his Uso residence for his farm on Saturday from where he was abducted by unknown persons.

After waiting endlessly for his return, family members organized a search for him during which his vehicle and phone were seen but his whereabout unknown.

The abductors later contacted the family and demanded for N10 million to secure his release.
