The Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) is set to conduct its primary election to elect the gubernatorial candidate for the November governorship election in Ondo state.
Already, the Young Progressive Party, (YPP) has picked Ola Akinmurele; All Progressives Congress, (APC) elected Lucky Aiyedatiwa; Zenith Labour Party, (ZLP) picked Abass Mimiko and People’s Democratic Party (PDP) chose Agboola Ajayi as their flag berarers in the November poll.
The PRP has scheduled Saturday April 27th, as the day for its primary election, which will be through indirect primary mode, to determine the candidate who will fly the party’s flag in the upcoming electoral contest.
The party, in a statement explained that “It recognizes the importance of this election in shaping the future trajectory of the state and remains dedicated to presenting a capable and visionary candidate who will champion the interests of the people.
“As the date approaches, the party encourages all eligible members to actively engage in the primary process, exercising their right to vote and contribute to the democratic advancement of the state.
“The PRP leadership reaffirms its commitment to upholding the principles of democracy, integrity, and service to the people.
“Through a collaborative and participatory approach, PRP remains steadfast in its mission to deliver effective governance and positive change for the benefit of all citizens.”
