Preparatory for his second term inauguration, Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo state has dissolved the State Executive Council.
The news was handed down to members of the Executive Council, Thursday, during their weekly council meeting in Akure.
The Governor, who thanked them for their support in the last four years, noted their dedication to duty
The valedictory Executive meeting, it was learnt, was devoid of the usual banters as some of the sacked Commissioners had a hint of the dissolution.
Governor Akeredolu is expected to be sworn-in next week for another four-year term, having been declared winner of the October 10 Governorship election by the Independent National Electoral Commission, (INEC).
Some of the former commissioners will, however, continue to serve as they are members of the Inauguration Committee which will midwife the second term of the Governor.
