As the dust raised by the alleged role of Babajide, son of Ondo State Governor, Mr Rotimi Akeredolu, SAN, in the administration of the State remains unsettled, he has bagged a key appointment in the State.
Babajide’s name was among key appointees announced on Tuesday by the Governor.
He is now in charge of due process as the Director General, Performance and Project Implementation and Monitoring Unit, (PPIMU).
A statement by the Commissioner for information, Mr Donald Ojogo announced that the Governor has finally sent names of 14 Commissioner-nominees to the House of Assembly for approval.
Also appointed are six Special Advisers for the government.
The statement read “Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu,SAN, has nominated 14 new commissioners-designate and seven Special Advisers.
“The Commissioner- nominees are as follows: Mrs Bamidele Ademola Olateju, Otunba Adefarati Adegboyega, Rt. Hon. Fatai Olotu, Dr. Julianah Oshadahun, Otunba Dele Ologun and Mr. Sunday Adekunle.”
Others are Engr. Razak Obe, Dr. Banji Awolowo Ajaka, Pastor Emmanuel Igbasan, Mrs Yetunde Adeyanju, Mr. Femi Agagu, Hon. Akinlosotu, Hon. Lola Fagbemi, and Chief Olayato Aribo.
It added that “Those nominated for the position of Special Advisers include the following: Chief (Dr) Victor Ategbole, Dr. (Mrs)Wunmi Ilawole, Hon. (Barr) Tobi Ogunleye, Dr. Jibayo Adeyeye, Mrs Olamide Falana, Dr . Francis Adedayo Faduyile and
Mr Niyi Oseni. “The names of the nominees, especially the position of Commissioner, will be forwarded to the House of Assembly for screening, clearance and confirmation.
“In the same vein, the governor appointed Mr. Babajide Akeredolu as the Director General, Performance and Project Implementation Monitoring Unit (PPIMU).
“All nominated/appointed persons will be sworn in at a date to be announced later after the necessary legislative processes.
“Mr Governor wishes all nominated persons the best of luck.”
