The magazine reported that Obasa’s return to his former position was made possible after Mojisola Meranda, who was elected Speaker by the members of the Assembly, stepped down on Monday.
Reacting to the development, Sani, a former senator said Lagos was no longer what it used to be as the country’s Centre of Excellence.
He wrote:”Lagos is supposed to be the Center of Excellence. What is happening at the State Assembly is not excellence.”
Following a protracted leadership struggle in the Assembly, Meranda who became Speaker of the Assembly resigned today, citing intervention by leaders of the ruling All Progressives Party, APC, that she stepped aside for Obasa to come back to the position.
