Rotimi Oladimeji, a Nigerian-born international fraud kingpin has been arrested by the United States of America, US Immigration and Customs Enforcement, ICE, team in New Orleans.
ICE announced Oladimeji’s arrest in a post on its official X platform on Monday, describing him as a ‘criminal’ from Nigeria.
Before his arrest yesterday, Oladimeji has been in the US wanted list, following his record of wire and internet fraud, also known as Yahoo Boys.
According to message posted on X, ICE said he has been ordered to pay over $1 million in restitution, and will serve be charged to court, and possibly a jail term, after which he will be deported to Nigeria.
