Nollywood Actress, Tolani, May Be Buried In UK

Nollywood actress, Tolani Akintunde who   of a sudden heart attack, will be laid to rest  in the United Kingdom.

The talented Akintunde, who  relocated to the UK some years ago with her daughter, passed unexpectedly three days ago.

The sad news was first made public by Seun Oloketuyi, Media Personality and convener of the Best of Nollywood Awards.

The late actress was best known for her good interpretation of roles in early 2000s television Xlassics Everyday People and Palace.

She was a respected figure in the industry before she moved abroad “in search of greener pastures.”

While in the UK, she ventured into business and maintained a low public profile.

Her sudden passing has left fans, colleagues, and family members in shock.

An outpouring of grief has since flooded social media platforms, especially Facebook, where the news of her death was initially announced.

Her fans and colleagues have taken to the Social Media, sharing their heartfelt tributes and fond memories of the late actress.

A Facebook user, Omotayo Elebijo, wrote, “Sun re oo Tola. You will be remembered for making people around you happy.”

Another, Kolamartins03, commented, “Rest on, beloved. This is heartbreaking.”

Her daughter, whose identity remains private, is also said to be struggling to come to terms with the loss of her mother.

Akintunde’s death adds to a growing list of painful losses in the Nigerian entertainment scene in 2025.

In recent months, the industry has mourned other stars, including actress and model Monalisa Stephen, producer Rotimi Raji, and actress Nkechi Nweje, who was laid to rest in Anambra State just days ago.
