Governor Umaru Bago of Niger State has joined the bandwagon of Governors who have relieved their Commissioners of duties.
The Niger State Governor relieved his Commissioners and Special Advisers of their positions over their inability to implement the administration’s policy and programs effectively.
Bago, however, retained the Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Chief of Staff, CoS, and other Principal Officers in his administration.
The Governor announced the decision to strip the Commissioners and Special Advisers of their position during the State Executive Council, SEC, meeting which took place at the Council chamber on Monday.
It would be recalled that similarly, the Governor of Ebonyi and Benue State did same weeks back.
