Niger Delta leader, Pa Edwin Clark is dead. The elder statesman demise was announced by a prominent member of his family, Prof C.C Clark on Tuesday.
He was 97 at the time of his passing, the statement said.
The statement read, “The Clark-Fuludu Bekederemo family of Kiagbodo Town, Delta State, wishes to announce the passing of Chief (Dr.) Sen. Edwin Kiagbodo Clark OFR, CON on Monday, 17th February 2025.
“The family appreciates your prayers at this time. Other details will be announced later by the family.”
Clark’s death came barely a few days after another elder statesman, Ayo Adebanjo died in Lagos.
Both men played active roles in Nigeria’s fledgling democracy.
