Music Superstar Faces Life Imprisonment For Sex Trafficking, Racketeering

54-Year Old Robert Sylvester Kelly, known as R.Kelly is likely to spend the rest of life behind bars. He has been found guilty of multiple racketeering and sex trafficking charges following a six-week trial in a New York courtroom.

The Multiple Grammy Award Winner had been accused of these charges for over a decade, but charges were not filed by his accusers, until victims testified in a Television Interview about the series of abuses they suffered from the R&B Singer.

Nine Women and Two men testified against R.Kelly, describing the sexual humiliation and violence they suffered from the ‘I believe I can Fly Crooner’.

The talented musician was found guilty of violating the Mann act, a law which bans interstate sex trafficking, in which Prosecutors accused Kelly of using his fame and fortune to lure in victims with promises to help their musical careers, most of them were said to be underage and were sexually abused.

The sentence of R.Kelly is coming exactly 13 Years after when he was discharged and acquitted of Child Pornography charges in a trial at the State of Illinois.

He is due to face sentencing on 4 May, 2022.
