Military Announces Arrest Of Most Wanted Cross Boarder Terrorist, Key IPOB/ESN Members

The Nigeria military on Saturday November 2, 2024,  announced a major breakthrough in the ongoing battle against banditry, terrorism and other criminal activities in the North West region.

At a media briefing, Director, Defence Information, Edward Buba, Major General, informed that one of the most wanted cross- boarder terrorist, Habu Dogo, has been apprehended.

The Source reports that Dogo has been on the  wanted list of both Niger Republic and Nigeria Military authorities over his notorious cross boarder terrorist activities.

General Buba said that Dogo was arrested in Rumji Village in Illela Local Government of Sokoto state.

According to the Defence Spokesperson, the arrest of Dogo represents a great milestone in the overall fight against banditry and insurgency in the North West region of the Country.

He noted that troops in the last few  months have continued to degrade the combat capacity of banditry and other criminal elements in the zone.

General Buba also stated that the Nigeria Military, within the same period, arrested some operatives of the IPOB/ESN secessionist groups.

“Dr Nnamdi Chukwudozie and Chigozie Ezetoha (aka Chapet ) were arrested in Ihiala LGA of Anambra state.

Others are Ngozi Chukwuka and Onyekachi Ohia arrested in Umuahia South LGA of Abia State. Ifeanyi Eze ,Augustine Udemba and Onyedikachi Udemba were arrested in Umunneochi LGA of Abia state,while Elijah Mmaduipeya Obumneke was arrested in Orsu LGA of Imo state ” General Buba noted .

Troops ,within the same period ,according to the Defence spokesman  neutralized about 187 persons, while 262 people were arrested.
