An unexpected tragedy struck, Thursday, at the IBB Golf Club, Abuja, when Major General Chris Jemitola, rtd, slumped and died.
Jemitola was the Aide-de-Camp, ADC, to former President Olusegun Obasanjo, from 2003-2007.
An eye witness said that the General was rushed to an undisclosed hospital. Sadly he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The General was, at some point, Chief of Plans and Policy, Nigerian Army. He was, also, Director of Defence Information, and later, Nigeria’s Defence Attache in Brazil.
He was promoted to the rank of Major General in 2014.
There has been no statement from either the Nigerian Army or his family.
