Kebbi State Governor, Nasir idris, has promised that efforts by security agents to curb criminalities will not go unnoticed as he donated the sum of N10 million to the families of two police officers, who lost their lives following an attack by suspected Lakurawa sect at Natsini village, Augie Local Government Area of the state.
Presenting the donation to the Commissioner of Police alongside families of the deceased, the Governor urged the family members to take heart and accept the will of God Almighty in good faith.
A statement on Sunday by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Ahmed Idris, stated that the Governor, was represented by the State Director, Security, Abdulraham Usman and Danko Wasagu Local Government Council Chairman, Alhaji Hussaini Aliyu-Bena.
He reiterated the commitment of the state government to improve the welfare of security agencies serving in the state.
This, he said, is in view of their efforts in the fight against terrorists and other criminal elements in the state, adding that their efforts in combating crimes and criminalities in the state would never go unnoticed.
The Governor announced that each of the two families would receive N5 million from the state government and prayed to God Almighty to give the families the courage to bear the irreparable lose.
Responding on behalf of the deceased families, the Commissioner of Police appreciated the Governor’s efforts in supporting Security Agencies in the State to discharge their duties diligently.
He said the donation would go a long way in supporting the families of the deceased officers who died in active service of protecting their motherland.
The Commissioner urged the families to make good use of the donation.
The two police officers, ASP Bala Audu and Inspector Bashar Mohammed, lost their lives recently, following an attack by Lakurawa sect at Natsini village in Augie LGA of Kebbi State.
