Lagos 2023: Wike Endorses Sanwo Olu’s Second Term Bid, Shuns PDP’s Governorship Candidate, Jandor

The Governorship ambition of Lagos Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Candidate, Olajide Abdulaziz Adediran, suffered a major setback. Governor Nyesom Wike openly endorsed the Candidature of All Progressives Congress, APC, Governorship Candidate and incumbent Governor, Babajide Olusola Sanwo Olu.

The endorsement of Sanwo-Olu who is seeking the Governorship seat for the second term by Wike is coming in the wake of the crisis in the PDP over the resignation, or not, of the PDP National Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu.

In a terse Statement by Governor Sanwo-Olu’s Chief Press Secretary, Gboyega Akosile, he wrote, “Breaking: Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike endorses Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for second term in office. Details later,” Akosile wrote.
