After the rigorous All Progressive Congress, APC, primaries, incumbent Governor Yahaya Bello has emerged the APC Flagbearer for the November 16th 2019 Kogi State gubernatorial elections.
The incumbent defeated the likes of Blessing Ekele, Hon. Hassan Baiwa and Engr. Bashir Gegu to emerge the Candidate of the party against all odds following challenges from the Mandate Group that ousted Akinwunmi Ambode from power in Lagos.
Governor Bello secured 3,127 votes out of the 3,596 delegates accredited for the primary, leaving other contestants with little or no votes to share.
