Kano: Police Chief Tasks Officers On Professionalism, Maintenance Of Peace And Security

181 newly promoted Police personnel in Kano have been urged to always exhibit a high level of professionalism and discipline in the discharge of their duties.

They have also been charged to rededicate themselves to the task of  maintaining peace and order as well as  fighting crimes in the State.

Kano State Police Commissioner, CP Salman Dogo Garba, who made  the appeal, spoke  during the official decorations of the personnel with their new ranks.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, by the Kano Police Command spokesperson, Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, SP, the Kano State Police Chief informed that the personnel who were decorated on Tuesday, August 13, were part of the promoted officials by the Police Service Commission, PSC on July 29, 2024 .

The personnel were promoted from the ranks of Inspectors ,to that of   Assistant Superintendent of Police, ASP II.

CP Garba, while congratulating the police personnel, also emphasized that their promotion, are in recognition of their commitment, professionalism and unblemished records.

He urged them to always justify the trust and confidence reposed  in them by the system by always insisting on strict adherence to professional demands.

Similarly, the Kano CP  has  lauded the Command’s Operatives for their efforts towards securing lives and properties, even in the face of the recent security challenges being experience in the State.

While addressing Senior and Supervising police  personnel during  a lecture series, Garba  harped on the need to ensure the maintenance of peace and security in the Commercial, but volatile State.
