Meanwhile, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC), and the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) are currently probing a N6.5 billion diversion case linked to the governor’s Director-General of Protocol.

Report revealed that the scandal further deepened after the Commissioner for Community and Rural Development, Abdulkadir Abdulsalam, reportedly admitted to authorising a ₦1.17 billion payment while serving as the Accountant-General, which investigators have described as fraudulent.

The State Government has consistently emphasized transparency and accountability in response to growing corruption allegations.
