Three Seminarians were kidnapped and six others injured when a Seminary School was attacked Monday, the Catholic Church says.
This magazine reported that terrorists invaded the Seminary shooting sporadically and were allegedly chased away by native hunters and vigilantes before the army arrived.
But in a release by the Catholic Diocese of Kafanchan, signed by the Chancellor of the Seminary, Emmanuel Okolo, the school said that three of their Senior Seminarians were kidnapped.
“We announce with unease the kidnap of three major Seminarians of Christ the King Major Seminary”, the release said.
According to the release, six Seminarians sustained various levels of injury, but have been taken to the hospital, with some treated and discharged.
The last time a Catholic Seminary was invaded in Kaduna, one of them was killed after days in captivity.
