Gombe State Police Command and State Government are seeking areas of synergy to combat insecurity and other crime related matters.
To this end, the State Commissioner of Police Hayatu Usman, has paid a visit to the Attorney General and Commissioner for justice, Zubairu Muhammad Umar in a demonstration of the strong collaboration and partnership between law enforcement and the legal authority in the State.
During the visit, the police boss and the Attorney General engaged in discussions on matters of mutual interest, focusing on enhancing the effectiveness of law enforcement efforts, promoting public safety and security, and improving the administration of Criminal justice in the State.
A statement by the spokesman of the state police command, Mahid Muazu Abubakar, stated that both officials emphasized the importance of cooperation between the Nigeria Police Force and the legal system in ensuring the protection of citizens, upholding the rule of law, and combating crime and criminal activities within the state.
The statement added that Usman expressed appreciation for the state government support and guidance in the fight against crime and reaffirmed the commitment of the Gombe State Police Command to work closely with the legal authorities to maintain peace and order in the state.
In his reaction, the Attorney General commended the efforts of the police command in maintaining law and order and assured the state government’s support in the collective mission to safeguard the lives and property of all residents of Gombe State.
He emphasized that regular consultations by the police command with top state government officials would curb emerging security challenges and ensure a safe and secure environment for residents of the State.
