As the shock wave occasioned by the exit of former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, The Rt. Honourable Emeka Ihedioha from the Peoples Democratic Party PDP on Tuesday April 23 2024 continues to reverberate, the National Secretary of the Party, Senator Sam Anyanwu  has called on members in Imo state to embrace unity, cohesion and eschew all acts capable of breeding misunderstanding and rancour within the party.

This is even as he has emphasised the need for the leadership of the PDP in Imo state to unite ,as well as  respect members’ interests and aspirations, and carry along all in the running of the affairs of the party.

The National Scribe of the opposition PDP, who spoke on Wednesday April 24 ,in a statement issued by his media Adviser Ikenna Onuoha  urged members to obey the party and its rules and regulations ,while expressing confidence that the party will, in no distance time, bounce back to reckoning in Imo state .

Senator Anyanwu noted that it does not make sense for party members to sabotage and pay lip service to the growth and development of the PDP, and at the same time expect to realise their political ambitions on its platform, warning that PDP at all levels will no longer tolerate any acts of misconducts from its members.

“In as much as PDP is not happy with those involved in anti-party activities, it will not condone the use of  uncouth language on former members .This is in line with our party’s vision for social stability and for human dignity” Senator Anyanwu warned

Senator Anyanwu who is widely believed to be the political crony of the former Rivers state Governor and current Minister of the Federal Capital Territory FCT ,Nyesom Wike, further stated that the PDP, as a party was not established for anybody, but rather for every body, adding that members will begin to value the PDP ,the very moment they come to terms with the fact that it was formed to cater for the interest of all .
