A Veteran Journist who was also a former Ministerial Adviser, Sunny Igboanugo, has tackled Reno Omokri over his continuous, and atimes unnecessary attack on Peter Obi, a former Governor of Anambra State and the 2023 Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party.
Stung by the, almost, everyday attack on Obi by Omokri, Igboanugo has alleged that Omokri, reportedly, gets paid to the tune of N30m a month to destroy Obi.
Igboanugo’s reaction stems from Omokri recent mockery of Obi over what he dismissed as Obi’s poor School Certificate result.
Omokri, in the past couple of days, has been posting Obi’s School Certificate results which he described as not impressive and so concluded that Obi is, afterall not intelligent, considering his School Certificate results.
Stung by that low attack, Igboanugo responded by alleging that Omokri gets paid a whooping $20,000 Monthly, allegedly, by the Federal Government to attack Peter Obi. Given the current exchange rate, that amount translates to N30million monthly.
In a post on his Facebook page, Igboanugo wrote: “We hear that he’s on a $20,000 monthly contract in the Obi project.”
The accomplished journalist popularly known as The Tiny Voice in the post entitled “So Reno still get mouth?” wrote:
“After about a week’s hiatus since Mike Arnold’s bombshell, Reno returns with his Project-Obi.
“This time, he’s displaying Obi’s WAEC result to prove that the former governor is not intelligent.
“Now, Reno forgets that with that same result, Obi not only gained admission into UNN, one of Nigeria’s most iconic ivory towers, but gone ahead to break many grounds.
“Not only that he went through the great institution, he distinguished himself in an extraordinary manner as a creator of wealth, with record-breaking achievements in this regard.
“Reno seems to forget that outside the record of becoming a student-millionaire, he rose to sit on the boards of some of the topmost blue chip companies in the country including holding the enviable record of the youngest Chairman of a major bank in Nigeria’s history.
“With the same certificate Reno is displaying derisively, Obi, not only emerged a governor but one of the most influential politicians in modern Nigerian history.
“On the flipside, what has Reno got to show for his own “first-class” brain? The highest attainment is perhaps his stint as social media anchor for President Goodluck Jonathan.
“Since then, what else? From false Lear Sharibu project, to trolling Buhari, to licking his own spittle by bootlicking Tinubu, the same man he called a druglord, to visiting Dangote and other successful people in power and authority, for photoups, what has he to his name?
“Okay, we hear that he’s on a $20,000 monthly contract in the Obi project. But this is a chicken-feed for Obi. Save that he would consider it a waste, Obi could double that amount without thinking anything about it.
“Curiously, the same Reno doesn’t have the presence of mind to post either the primary or secondary school certificate of Tinubu, the man he advertises as a genius.
“He fails to tell his audience why Tinubu’s is blank in the same INEC records from whence he pulled out Obi’s WAEC result.
“Couldn’t he have tried to solve the mystery of the “genius” reportedly passing out of Government College Lagos four years before it was established?
“Isn’t that more interesting than telling his audience that Obi, who, even as a student, was once a landlord to the iconic Sultan of Sokoto and Savannah Bank, is not intelligent?
“Isn’t it akin to arguing that Bill Gates is not intelligent because he’s a university dropout?
“Meanwhile, shouldn’t he be telling his audience something about that his fancy Lamborghini which he claimed he was covering the plate number to prevent Obidients from using it to trace his house in California and harm him?
“But what do you say of someone who has clearly sold his shame completely? What else remains of the madness that has gone to the market? Isn’t it beyond redemption?
“Indeed, that Reno would open his mouth so soon after this Mike Arnold’s saga is the height of it! Pity! _ The Tiny Voice!”
Reno, a once very bitter critic of President Bola Tinubu, turned around, 360 degrees, to become one of his staunchest admirers and supporters.
