“I have more experience than any Candidate, including the sitting President. I did not travel the world to garner experience only to end up as Vice President”
Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 Election, Peter Obi, has announced that he will be on the ballot for the office of the President in 2027.
Asking for support and prayers from Nigerians, Obi said he will not be anybody’s Vice President in 2027 because none of the other candidates has the experience he has garnered on leadership and governance as he travelled the world.
Obi who spoke Sunday night during X Spaces said he did not garner all that experience only to end up as a Vice President.
Obi: “I am not traveling round the world to learn governance to be Vice President.
“I know how to turn Nigeria around. I built my business from scratch and have more experience than any candidate, including the sitting President.
“Peter Obi will be on the ballot in 2027. I need your support. I need your prayers.”
Obi has, however, not declared under which party he would run as he has not officially joined the African Democratic Congress, ADC, the party under which the opposition wants to take power from the incumbent President, Bola Tinubu, and his Party, the All Progressives Congress, APC. Strong speculations, however, is that he would run under the ADC.
