I Will Name Those Behind Unsettling Insecurity In Imo State On January 3, 2022 – Uzodimma

Those behind the very unsettling criminal activities in Imo State will be exposed to Imo people on January 3, 2022

This was disclosed by the State’s Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma when he addressed the All Progressives Congress, APC, faithfuls in the State Saturday, at the Admiral Ndubuisi Square.

Asking Imo people not to be intimidated, as long he is the Governor, he regretted the killing of two Councillors, but revealed that those who killed them have been arrested.

Uzodimma also revealed that 18 people have been arrested in connection with   murderous criminal activities in the State against the people, and that they have made some disclosures as to who are behind them.

He said he would make public the names of those sponsors on January 3, 2022, the day he would address Imo people.

He told the people that the opposition has been ploting so evil against APC members and their leaders and encouraged the Party faithful to be alert.

He also  reassured that his Government will do all within its powers to ensure that Imo State is safe and that any one working to destabilise the system or encouraging criminality, no matter how highly placed, would be made to face the full wrath of the law.

Uzodinma: “Regrettably, two Councillors were recently killed. Those who killed them have been arrested and they have owned up to the crime.

“18 persons are now in custody in connection with different dimensions of crimes against the people. They have also given dependable evidence about their sponsors who I will make known at Imo State Stakeholders by January 3, 2022.

“Don’t be intimidated. So long as I remain Governor in this state, they will face the law. We have evidence of those who are behind the insecurity based on information from the suspects. By January 3, 2022, when I will hold Imo stakeholders meeting I will reel out their names one after the other with the evidence of their role.”

Imo State has been engulfed  in an unprecedented insecurity for months. In the past couple of weeks, five Traditional Rulers have been kidnapped. Out of the five, two of them were killed, bringing the total number of Traditional Rulers killed in the State in the past couple of months to four.

A few days ago, Security Operatives made a horrifying discovery in Orsu Local Government Area. They discovered a camp where kidnappers  kill, behead, roast and eat victims. The scene was unsettling.

An abducted Traditional Ruler, Eze Acho Ndukwe of Amagu Ihube, was rescued from there. Unfortunately, one of  abducted Traditional Ruler,  Eze Paul Ogbu of Ihitte Ihube, was killed before the Operatives got there.

On Friday, December 17,  Government officials and Security Operatives went to the Camp and evacuated the decomposing bodies of 10 victims from a dump site. Eze Ogbu was one of them.
