Embattled Actress, Halima Abubakar has publicly admitted that he lied against a Cleric, Apostle Johnson Suleiman.
In a letter where he publicly apologised to Suleiman, she admitted her lies and falsehoods against the Cleric, and said she has just realised the depth of the hurt and pains she caused him.
These lies and falsehoods, she noted, affected Suleiman’s Church and family.
Halima had, in a couple of posts, accused Apostle Suleiman of being a womaniser and being diabolic.
She presented herself as a victim of Suleiman’s womanising and diabolical activities.
Suleiman, shocked, resorted to the Court to clear his name after Halima insisted on her allegations, and refused to retract.
About six months ago,
a Federal Capital Territory High Court slammed with a N10m fine payable to Suleiman as damages for the derogatory posts against him.
Following is the Actress’ letter of apology to Apostle Suleiman.
“I am writing to you today to acknowledge the falsehoods I made against you on social media and to offer my sincerest apologies. After deep reflections, and for my conscience to be in accord with God, I have realized the depth of the harm, pains and distress caused by my lies.
“I admit that I made false allegations against you; and also regret my actions and the damage I caused to you, your wife, Dr. Mrs. Lizzy Suleman, your family, and the Leaders of the Omega Fire Ministry.
“With this letter, I humbly ask for your forgiveness, recognizing that my apology cannot undo the harm, pains and distress I caused and I ask you find a place in your heart to forgive me as I was not thinking right then. Sir, you have done a lot for humanity, please, extend your hands of forgiveness toward me.
“Once again, Sir, I am truly sorry for all the hurts and distress I caused you, your family, and your ministry.
Thank you very much and may the Heavens calm your heart. God bless you, Sir.”
Actress Halima is currently embroiled in a showdown with the Actors Guild of Nigeria and its President. She has been suspended for allegedly lying against some of her colleagues in the industry and promoting such in the Social Media. She is barred from taking part in any of Guild’s activities, meaning she will neither act in, or produce any.
In response, she sued the AGN and its President to the tune of three billion Naira.
