The Senator representing Borno South Senatorial District, Ali Ndume, has sensationally disclosed that he has not been to his village in the past 16 years, and will not dare even under the excort of the Military.
Ndume, who welcomed the United States President Trump’s December 25, 2025 ordered bombing of the base of terrorists in Sokoto State, has, therefore, implored Trump to order another round of bombing.
He, however, has one appeal: that the next round of bombing be in his long-suffering Senatorial District, an area, he said, so destroyed and ravaged by terrorists that the natives are refugees.
Ndume spoke Friday night on Politics Today, a Channels Television programme.
Ndume explained that his invitation for US Airstrikes stems from the prolonged activities of Boko Haram terrorists in his constituency, especially, around the Mandara Mountains.
The Senator said that the presence of the terrorists in the mountainous areas for over about 16 years had forced residents to flee their homes and farmlands.
To bring some semblance of relief to the people, Senator Ndume, urged sustained and consistent military offensives. He said it is the only way to eliminate the group and activate the return of displaced villagers to their homes.
According to Ndume, residents of Gwoza and surrounding communities would be very grateful for such US airstrikes. He offered his house in Gwoza for accommodation for the US troops if that would save his people.

Ndume: “I called for it (US airstrikes). In fact, I was thinking that they will start from my local government. Yes, because the Boko Haram have dominated(the area) for the past 15 years.
“They have dominated the Mandara Mountain up till now. And we had wanted, and have been calling that there must be consistent and sustained (military) attack until they are all eliminated.
“That’s when our people that are still in the IDP camps, you know, under the mountain, can go back, because there are people who still live in the mountains and farm in the mountains, but they had to run away. Boko Haram chase them. There are some of them that are still captives.
“In fact, we want the (US airstrikes). I’m speaking for my people, especially my own local government.
“If the 200 Americans that Nigerians are talking about now don’t have (where to stay), they are not comfortable, please let them go to my local government and stay and operate from there. Our people will be happy.
“I can move out of my house in Gwoza for them to come over and stay as long as we will have peace.
“You know what? For the past 16 years, I cannot go to my village, especially this time around. No matter what, even under escort, you don’t risk going there from now.”
