What led to his death remained unclear at the time of filing in this report.

A colleague and filmmaker, Femi Ogendegbe, broke the news of his passing on his social media page.

He wrote, “Rest in peace to one of Nollywood legends. Uncle Emmanuel France, One of the actors I took to Tanzania in 2006. Shot three movies with him: Cross My Sin, She Is My Sister, & The Director. R.I.P.”

Ogedengbe recalled working closely with France, including a memorable trip to Tanzania in 2006.

The Late Actor and Ogendegbe collaborated on several films, such as ‘Cross My Sin‘, ‘She is My Sister‘, and ‘The Director‘.

Born in Ghana, France was known for his gentlemanly demeanor and his deep respect for others.

One of his unfulfilled dreams was to produce a film titled Ghana Must Go, a project that was dear to his heart.

With appearances in numerous films, France’s humour and vibrant personality endeared him to filmmakers, fellow actors, and journalists alike.

Other movies he had featured in included Domitilla (1996) and The Curfew (2021), among others.

It would be recalled that Shina Sanyaolu, a renowned producer and director in the Yoruba film sector, who was known for his huge contributions to the industry died on the 12th September, few days before the death of France.
