A night vigil organised by a branch of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, turned into a nightmare when gunmen invaded the Church, killed the officiating Priest, and abducted seven worshippers.

Members of the RGCC Parish, Abule-Ori, Obafemi, Owode Local Government Area, Ogun State, were observing their monthly night vigil when the gunmen struck and disrupted the Service.

Blood-thirsty, they immediately shot and killed the Pastor who was conducting the night vigil Service. And, as pandemonium ensued, and worshippers ran helter-skelter, the gunmen abducted seven of them.

A save-our-soul call to the personnel of the Ogun State So-Safe Corp brought some consolation. In a swift response, they went after the gunmen, and in the ensuing shoot-out, the seven abductees were rescued. As an icing on the cake, one of the abductors was killed. The others escaped with gun shot injuries.
