The Benue State Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development, Ekpe Ogbu, has been kidnapped by gunmen.
Ogbu was kidnapped alongside Honourable Agbo Ode, his in-laws and his driver.
How Gunmen Abducted Benue State Commissioner, Others
The incident happened along former Senate President, David Mark’s Farm, after Akpa Otobi while on their way from Otukpo to Utonkon in Ado Local Government Area of the state.
The Commissioner had attended a Church programme, where Senator Abba Moro, representing Benue South Senatorial district, dedicated his newly inaugurated Campaign Council to God at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Otukpo and was going to his village in Ndekma, Utonkon District of Ado LGA after the Church programme before running into the hoodlums at about 8:45pm.
His official vehicle has been recovered from the scene of the abduction and taken to the Divisional Police office in Otukpo.
His abductors have made no contacts. And at the time of filing this report, there is no official statement yet from the State Government.
