Few minutes after his inauguration as Kogi State Governor, Usman Ododo has forwarded to the state House of Assembly names of some commissioners nominees.
Ododo, who was sworn in Saturday, named majority of those that served under the immediate past governor Yahaya Bello, as commissioners to be.
They include the former SSG, Folashade Ayoade Arike, Kingley Fanwo, Deedat Salami Ozigi, among other aides appointed for clearance by the assembly with immediate effect.
Former Governor Bello had dissolved the state executive council since December last year, preparatory to his exit.
There is possible fear that the Rivers state scenario may likely play out in Kogi, going by the action of the governor, to have nominated those that worked with Bello for eight years into the cabinet few hours after inauguration.
Speaking after the swearing in, Ododo appreciated his predecessor, Bello, and promised not to disappoint the people of the state.
Also, Ododo, who is the fifth Kogi governor, presented an award of service, Grand Conference Silver Service Star to Bello.
